Is Behrend a senior this year playing in Sioux Falls for the Jr Stampede U18 or did he graduate last year? Card fans would know this.

2 could of returned, kind of 3. Jaxon left for the stampede. Behrends would be a senior, he left for AAA stampede..the third one is Smedsrud, he was very young and started kindergarten early. There are kids on the current Luverne team older than him.

This would really add some depth. They wouldn't be playing Hermantown tonight if they were on the squad.

Well lookey here, we got a 2-1 game. I've felt that Luverne has been outplaying Hermantown for about the last 5 minutes or so. Got rewarded after giving up a tough goal.

I definately agree with the announcer that said Hermantown plays a "pond hockey style".. Seem to really rely on individual skill and give up a ton of odd man stuff being out of position.

Only up 2-1 against Lurverne? Take everything I said back about Hermantown moving up to A.

This is where they belong. Wouldn't do squat in AA.

This is pretty cool. I was not expecting this. If Luverne can somehow pull this off, what an open tournament we will have. Nice job Red.

Followed by the best quote of the day by the announcer: (game going go to overtime) "And the Luverne fans are celebrating like they won the game [chuckles to himself]"

What a game. What a day.

That was another awesome game. Great effort by Luverne. I guarantee Hermantown wasn't expecting that.

Much respect to Luverne tonight. Hey, we've had three great quarterfinal games! Last time the Class A quarterfinals was this competitive was 2003.
