Section 5A- #1 seed Little Falls was able to prevail this year in the 5A Semifinals but it was not easy. #4 seed Cambridge Isanti gave the Flyers all they could handle and Junior Seth Terhell’s two goals had the game tied at 2-2 in the third period. The Flyers got their game winning goal from their third line of all places as Senior Hudson Filippi, not Matt, scored the game winning goal and behind goaltender 9th grader Izaak Kalis 30 plus save effort Little Falls was able to survive and advance to the 5A Final. They will take on #3 seed St Cloud Cathedral who routed #2 seed Monticello on their home ice in the other 5A Semifinal. The Crusaders outshot the Moose 50-23 and got balanced scoring from all 3 lines and were able to get revenge for last year's Section 5A Final defeat. The Crusaders will roll into the 5A final fully healthy which they were not in the first two matchups vs the Flyers for the Section Championship at Elk River on Wednesday Night.
