Is it just me or does Hermantown- Cloquet- Hibbing look as good as anyone in AA? I’m not talking just 7AA either.

This game is good stuff.

#2 Waseca 3
#3 Dodge County 4
Final/OT
Dodge County upsets Waseca. The Wildcats late season surge continues. They never panicked down earlier and came up big in overtime, heading to the 1A Final for the 2nd time in 3 years!

Wow.
If Maple Grove doesn’t move on from Bergland now, kids are gonna start fleeing the high school to play for a coach who can actually coach—someone who puts together a game plan, believes in Xs and Os, etc, and doesn’t simply just rely on the talent the youth association keeps giving him every year to win on its own. Bergland is a perennial underperformer who simply cannot coach—especially in games that matter—where he gets outcoached EVERY SINGLE TIME. Andover’s coach, in particular, completely owns Bergland. He has got to go. Now.

Not sure I have watched a game where both teams kept their feet moving every second like this one.

BHS Section 3A Playoff Semifinals
#5 New Ulm 2
#1 Luverne 8
Final
Luverne picked up the 3-game sweep of New Ulm. Roll Cards Roll offensive attack was too much for the Eagles. They now head back to the 3A Final for the third time in the last four years to defend their title!

#3 Mankato East 2
#2 Mankato West 3
Final
Mankato West knocks off Mankato East. The Scarlets stayed calm and collected down in the 3rd period and came up big late for the win! They will now head back to the Section 3A Final, looking for revenge!

Luverne vs Mankato West again in the 3A Final

ENG for Cloquet! 4-1 with a minute to go, And it's a final

Quick trivia--the last time Hermantown failed to make their section final in consecutive years was 1996-97. Some of you weren't born yet. Elliott and I had brown hair

Despite East losing today, Super Saturday was a blast. Can't wait for next week's finals in 7A and 7AA. Pulling for Hibbing and Rock Ridge.

BHS Section 7A Playoff Semifinals
#4 Proctor 1
#1 Hibbing/Chisholm 10
Final
Hibbing/Chisholm blows by Proctor in the opening half of the 7A Semis. The Bluejackets' skill and speed were just too much for the Rails in their one. Hibbing now heads back to the 7A Championship Game!

#2 Hermantown 1
#3 Cloquet/Esko/Carlton 4
Final
CEC upsets Hermantown, playing their A game, physical & opportunistic, while being rock solid in their own end. They block the Hawks from the Section Final again for a New Era in 7A

Hibbing vs CEC rematch in 7A just like everyone predicted!

Tonight’s game was different to me than most. Most games have some ebbs and flows. One team has heavy pressure for a while then the other does the same. This one was steady up and down the ice with great goaltending both ways. Cloquet found the back of the net a couple more times.

Really well played.

Hey, good life on the forum today!

Fun day at Amsoil, even with East losing a tough one to Rock Ridge. That game was a blast, as was Cloquet-Hermantown. I love watching that Cloquet team play hockey--hardworking, great D, good discipline, taking care of business in their own end and just enough flashiness from the top line to pull it off. Hibbing is a different beast, but it should be a great 7A final.

Grand Rapids-Rock Ridge is a great 7AA final, too, the first all-North final since 2017. The atmosphere at Amsoil should be great, and this one is anything like the one they played a couple weeks ago in Virginia, it'll be tense. Rapids looked very complete today, but RR has the star power...

You should have seen the Centennial/Blaine game. Exciting all the way to the end.
What is a Green Wave anyway?
