So much for laughin at me huh SPUD. I think i called it Toews and Duncan, both made the all tourny team. What do u mean u didnt see toews do anything, he scored the first goal of the game, why is everyone band wagoner for Oshie???

Because

Post by upnort88 »

Because Oshie plays with passion, skill, and grit and just flat out plays the game the way it is meant to be played. What bandwagon? Why do you think everybody at the Ralph erupts everytime they show TJ on the jumbotron....because the Sioux fans know hockey and respect the way he plays the game. Toews didn't hit a soul this weekend. He did have some good stats though, and that wrap around was NICE. TJ crushed some people. Toews, Duncan, and Oshie are all great, but Oshie is a special talent.

Toews goal was a top 10 on ESPN.

Siouxnut, No I am not laughing at your or being sarcastic.. I just enjoy watching Oshie more than Toews, he is a good player as well but just not as much fun as Oshie is, and one other reason is playing against him and with him which gives me the enthusiam to watch him everytime hes on the ice. GO SIOUX!

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... DHOCKEY at: 3/26/06 1:10 pm

Both are purly talented players but when it comes down to it, toews is 80% technique to 20% passion, when TJ's about 50% technique, 30% passion, and 20% pure luck, which makes for a more interesting player.

Oshie

Post by ThunderStorm22 »

I sure hope TJ Oshie stick around for a couple of more season's at UND... He has been fun to watch this past season! His anticipation, the way he moves the puck, passing, shooting, etc. I thought he made a big difference when he was on the ice today during the semi-final game... He could rapidly become a college hockey super-star!

I Agree this year Tj oshie, 18 games 15 Points, Toews hes having a good year...not outstanding he has 13 points in 13 games played... They need Oshie to step up and be a leader, The highest pointsman is Duncan and he is the only one on the team who averages over a point a game...

Then you look at the gophers 5 people are averaging over a point per game goligoski has 8 more points then Oshie as a Defensemen...

Look at New Hamshire...also 5 people above 1 point a game...If you want to be a good college hockey team you need to find players who can produce

North Dakota needs to find players who can carry them to to Regionals, and the players need to start relizing what their role is...

word is that Oshie was hampered with some type of hand injury at the beginning of the season and still is not 100%... i would think a hand injury to a player like Oshie would be devastating to the type of game he plays.

he had four points because he was on the power play every couple of minutes. that first line had A LOT of ice time because of the rediculously one sided game. they should be able to beat a buncha no named guys, but hardly could. the beavers have 1 player who is drafted. Oshie is a good player, don't get me wrong, but a team like the Sioux shouldn't have a problem beating a team like the beavers.

What are Bina, Toews, and Oshie's standings with the team and WCHA after last Sunday's bar incident?

Same as they were before the incident. I'd doubt they get punished at all.

Yeah if they were to get punished..the Sue wouldn't stand a chance against anyone. All three of those guys played a lot against Mankato tonight and had a few points. It's too bad that they won't miss any playing time for it. That's probably why they did it in the first place, cuz they think they're invincible.
