Gopher seeding

Post by Knowlze »

Quite frankly, I don't care if they seed by pulling the top 16 teams out of a hat, or however they want to do it. Like I said before, the winner has to win 4 consecutive games over the best 16 teams in the nation, they will be the deserving champion.

What I don't really care for, is the committee giving the impression that the seeding is a fair system, and it is clearly not fair using their unpublished bonus points, or they would have the guts to publish them.

Just tell it like it is.

Knowlze, I'm coming to the conclusion that your team got snubbed this year, or didn't get the seed you thought they should? Is that the case? Or are you just anti-Gopher?

Every year, the PWR snubs a team or two, and their fans all scream bloody murder. Funny thing is, when that same team gets a break in the seedings the next year, the PWR is once again a good system. Funny how that works.

Again, Knowlze, I implore you, show me a better system. The PWR is so bad in your eyes, come up with something better.
Scheids
(A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

Gophers Seeding

Schieds,

I am not going to try a 4th time to get the point across. I struck out with you, you will never get it.

With regards to the Gophers, I have been a fan since childhood, when they won a couple of titles in the 1970's, under Herb Brooks. I have just grown a little tired of them (mostly fans, press, hype, etc) over the years, lets just leave it at that.

The team that wins the next 4 consecutive games is the Champ. Go WCHA.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... Knowlze at: 3/24/05 3:33 pm

post your email address, I can send it to you. It's not nearly as weird or eerie as people are making it out to be.
Scheids
(A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

Gophers game

Post by Hillfan »

Well the Gophers are up against Maine today. Start is 1:30 P.M. Anyone have thoughts/predictions on the game? Maine has a pretty good goalie in Jimmy Howard...

Gophers vs. Maine

Post by MNPuckster27 »

With Hirsch (leading scorer) and Goligoski (best offensive defensemen) out of the lineup, the Gophers will need to play a good defensive game and have someone from the 2nd or 3rd line (Guyer, Tallackson, Howe) step up and put something on the board. Maine plays great defense and has a good goalie, so they are probably going to have to make 2 or 3 goals hold up for a win.

I think the big ice will help the Gophers though and they'll win 3-2<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

GO GOPHERS!

Yeah, someone like Guyer really needs to pick it up. From what I've seen lately, he hasn't been able to do anything. Hopefully the Goph's will be ready to play today on home ice! Go Gophers!

Minnesota grown boy scores to beat Maine in overtime.

I hope the announcers can now stop repeating that a North Dakota kid scored the game winner in 2003 NCAA championship game, the only non Minnesotan. Geez how many times did they repeat that in this game? The 2003 Gopher win must still be pretty sour to some of those Hockey East people.
