Sartell must be doing something right. A few year's ago they were somewhat of a pillow team, now they have a PW team going to state and a bantam team that showed themselves well even though it was 2 and out. On the A Bantam side I personally thought # 5 was the best player on Buffalo's team and the 2 Kato goalies and the Owatonna goalie all tie for top's.

i agree with joshdog number 5# for buffalo was a great little skater, and that owatonna goalie led his team to state for the second straight year, and both of those goalies for mankato, bruggeman and trautman ,were outstanding, both could have been named tournament MVP for their performances against new prague and buffalo,( buffalo must have had close to 60 shots on goal in that 3rd place game) even thou their team lost both those games, they were both exceptional, they got very little help from their teammates, if kato would have been able to generate just a little more offense, with that kind of goaltending, they would be the team going to state from the bantam A silver region

Keep in mind that one player (big kid) for the Fairbault team had 5 penilties along. Then had to leave the tournament (it looked) because of it. Still saw alot of ice time being the coach called his number to go out shift after shift, must have been because he was well rested in the box.
Also one of the late penilties was a kid breaking his stick on the ice after a score.
Fairbault came out strong and the butterflies for Sartell showed! 2 to zip right away, Then we saw real good puck movment and speed. FAirbuilt could not match that team speed.
I think the Mankato players got into the Fairbault team head too. THEY STAYED FOR THE WHOLE GAME AND EVEN WENT TO THERE BENCH TO WISH THEM GOOD LUCK.

All the best Sartell and ALL teams and levels that made the big show for youth! Have fun, you won
Your each One of the last 8 standing for each level.

It was VERY nice talking to all the sartell parents...especially this guy who was in Mankato for the Bantam A tourney, and came and watched his son play in the PWA 'Ship, and we talked lots of hockey...

yes falkster i thought you guys had em too. i was there the whole game rooting for you guys too. but oh well it was a good game. a few soft goals at the end. as for us the games would not have been as close with out the amazing play of bruggeman and trautman. man did they stand on their heads. if kato could have had a few more goal scores on there team their season might not be over yet. i think one of the main reasons for that is lack of size. we have many first years ( quite a few 92's) and second years (mostly small 91's). depending on if all the first years stay at bantams they could be a force to be reckoned with next year.

I am the souperstar.
