The Red team hasn't predicted anything all year, so not sure about the haunting comment. If anything we've had a very low profile. I think winning the league with a team of all first year bantams was quite an accomplishment for a team that worked hard all year (and had to listen to a lot of crap from other teams at the beginning), and a good example that talented parent coaches can do a great job. They've stumbled twice during the year, and unfortunately one of the times was Monday night. I don't think anyone went into that game thinking it was going to be a cake walk (no pun intended). Unfortunately now it's do or die. I hope they do.bigpoppababy wrote:I predict it to be one hell of a game. Looking forward to it. We learned from the last game, don't predict anything. No predictions were made, but Moose Lake has been looked past by many teams this year. Its nice to see that our kids (mostly 1st years) and a short bench, are able to perform at a high level and have success. I give all 4 teams a lot of credit. I've watched every game in the playoffs, and there has been a lot of hard work that has gone into this season by everyone and it shows. District 11 should have a very strong showing at regions. I wish everyone the best of luck!!dlhhockey wrote:The Red team hasn't predicted anything all year, so not sure about the haunting comment. If anything we've had a very low profile. I unfortunately will likely miss that game, but I will try to make it. WBO in order to win must rely on 15, 4 & 9 and there goalie to have a good game. WBBL on the other hand must play as a team and contain 15, if they do so they should win. if not they could surley loose. I am exited to hear of all the WB teams that have a spot at regions.
Good luck and most importantly have fun!!!!!

How many STA players (and coaches) had to sit last night's game out? I heard that STA had well over 15 penalties in their game against Woodbury a few nights ago, so at the very least I'm guessing the STA coach was DQ'd from last night's game.
Unfortunately the refs didn't do so good a job yesterdat as they did when STA played Woodbury white. Against woodbury the refs did a good job of letting them know there not welcome in D8 and keepin Woodbry in the game. Lst night the refs let way to much go and STA got by.
STA must still be playing that tough smash/mouth style hockey they play in the TC District.

Re: STA
I heard from one of the Hastings folks that it wasn't so much "smash mouth" hockey but rather just plain old poor officiating. Apparently many of the calls that went against Woodbury were just as bad as the more numerous calls against STA, who almost won anyway despite being in the box all night (several three-on-twos during the game), so lucky for Woodbury White I guess.DENIED wrote:CommunityGuy

Community Guy -- do you seriously believe that the refs were sending a message that "they're not welcome in District 8?' Sounds a bit far-fetched.CommunityGuy wrote:Unfortunately the refs didn't do so good a job yesterdat as they did when STA played Woodbury white.
