From a #5 to #2 seed just because they beat Crookston.Irishmans Shanty wrote:PR needs some style points on Tues. They need to post the 7-0, 5-1, or 5-2 type thumping TR, Warroad, and EGF have aleady delivered to Crox.
As stated elsewhere, I'd shadow Lerhke with possibley #2, #4, or #14.
Keep Lehrke off the scoresheet and if PR wins by 3+ I'll trumpet PR as the #2 seed.
Hasn't everyone beat Crookston?????
PR needs some style points on Tues. They need to post the 7-0, 5-1, or 5-2 type thumping TR, Warroad, and EGF have aleady delivered to Crox.
As stated elsewhere, I'd shadow Lerhke with possibley #2, #4, or #14.

It will be near impossible for Crookston to keep Lerhke of the scoresheet. They may keep him to 1 or 2 points, but not totally off the sheet. How about you minus lerhkes goals off and then if the margin is still what you expected or close you can warm that trumpet up! Just be careful that your spit doesn't freeze in it.

I don't think they are at a #5 now, probably 2.5. This is your garden variety "everything to lose, nothing to gain" game for PR because nearly everyone they've played from Bismarck to Hermantown and from Warroad to St. Paul has beaten them.elliott70 wrote: From a #5 to #2 seed just because they beat Crookston.
How can you consider PR at 2.5?Irishmans Shanty wrote:I don't think they are at a #5 now, probably 2.5. They beat TRF, TRF is not that good, they lost to Bemidji.
They beat EGF. Well, everyone knows that game gets an *.
They lost to Hallock. A good team, but not any better than Bemidji, if that.
They have not played anyone else of consequence.
So it has to go like this.
Bemidji vs Park Rapids
EGF vs Thief River Falls
The winner of those two play for the #4 spot.
Hallock gets the #5 seed.
Warroad gets the #1 seed.
Everyone else plays for the #8 seed.
4 plays 5 - winner to the finals.
1 plays 8 - winner to the finals.
Warroad to state, since PR, EGF, TRF & Bemidji are not any good.

Because they tore up TRF when TR knew what was at stake.elliott70 wrote:

And
I am fairly confident PR will finish the season beating TR, EGF, and Crox straight up, in addition to a 6-1 thumping of Hallock.
And
The 4-love decision against TR will look much better in two weeks if TRF finishes the season with sweeps of EGF and Crox and a split with Bemidji.
and that's why I have PR at 2.5 on February 3rd.
No, you are wrong.Irishmans Shanty wrote:Because they tore up TRF when TR knew what was at stake.elliott70 wrote:

Why? Becuae you aremaking assumptions.
PR beat TRF who is not good. (Sometimes they are, but on that night they beat themselves, I am borrowing this line from a PR thread and a PR supporter.)
No, seriously, yes, I think they are a 2.5, but so is EGF and TRF and even Bemidji can get to 2.5.
But as of today, if someone asks me, with Warroad being #1, who would be the second best team in section 8?
East Grand Forks.
Yes, PR beat them about 6-8 weeks ago, in OT, with their starting goalie watching from the stands. Well, a win is a win. True enough, but it does not change the facts. They had several players missing. Park Rapids played Bagley without Lehrke, and until Bagley and their thin numbers ran out of gas it was a close game. It ended 5-1 if I remember right.
Straight up does Bagley keep thet game relatively close.
No. Fact, with Lehrke it is runnng time.
PR beat TRF. But being there and watching a lot of things, including the fan base, the first time on that ice for some... as well as the game, I would put money on TRF beting them at home the next time.
Easy schedules and a lot of W's are great for a young (hopefully emerging) program. But other than that you have to look at them being tested, how many times?

Lien has several good ideas on health care reform and is in favor of eliminating AMT.sinbombyzermancurve wrote:themantheman wrote:Hey sinbom i still say Lien for president

That makes him a good canidate.
And he is a hockey player.
Unfortunately, about 16 year away from eligibility to be president.

YES, it is ...sinbombyzermancurve wrote:well i think bemidji will end up being the 5 seed....ii think trf will knock them off tomorrow night...
that game is monday the 4th correct?
changed because of politics on Tuesday...
(don't lock it up Lee).
The visitors locker room at Nymore is already at 82 degrees.
The fine white sand will be dusted in their box at about 11am tomorrow.
And, I hope, TRF players don't eat the snicker bars the Bemidji blue-line club has for them.

PR has been missing a few key players along this journey as well, Sir Elliott. When does that come into equation?elliott70 wrote:But as of today, if someone asks me, with Warroad being #1, who would be the second best team in section 8?

Schwanger, you don't give me enough credit...schwang17 wrote:Assumptions are required while asking this type of question with a few weeks 2 go. Get off the Bemidji high horse(2.55) and step back into reality(5).elliott70 wrote:No, you are wrong.

that part was sarcasm....

I gave the example of Lehrke at Bagley...
do you want me to go through everyones in section 8...
No sir. This isn't a steroids scandal. If the EGF players weren't so stupid you wouldn't be calling for an asterisk. PR would have beat them down regardless of who was playing, and they'll prove it again in a few weeks.elliott70 wrote:I gave the example of Lehrke at Bagley...
