Congrats to Hermantown. A huge kudos to the Hermantown coach for having the class to start his seniors and not his 1st line. I'm not a hockey expert but I tip my hat to this man for having that kind of respect for his seniors. The Marshall coach? I don't think that he played anyone other then his 1st 2 lines throughout the entire tournament. No respect or confidence in the rest of his team, the rest of the guys that helped get Marshall to state? No respect for his seniors, those 3rd and 4th line guys didn't even get ice time in the last minute of the game? Those 1st and 2nd line kids had to be exhausted, maybe too exhausted to play their best.
Excellent game. Great fun to watch. Lots of wonderful talent out there.

haha why would he have his 3rd or 4th line out with 2 min left and a state title on the line? see if the losing team of the AA game has their 3rd or 4th line out there tonight in the last 3 min or so. i dont blame the marshall coach for not having his 3rd line out there. the hermantown goalie played very well today.

First off congrats to Hermantown! and Slynelly, dont try and talk about stuff that you dont know. Marshall played their third line the whole tournament and often. They even had one of their 4th liners out in the second Ot against sta playing on first line for a shift. And why in the world would you put out your seniors that don't get to play much in the last minute of the game when there is a state championship on the line?? Yea they were behind by 2 goals but that doesn't mean its over yet. He needs to have confidence in his first line players that got them their than his seniors that never play

Congrats Hermantown Hawks on a superb season, and on winning the minnesota state boys class A championship game. You totally deserve it, and I must say that this group has proven that they are an extremely talented team. Undefeated regular season and they carry that through to the state championship. Congrats boys, especially to the hawks head coach Mr. Plante, finally won it after 18 seasons behind the bench.

Minnesota hockey, the sport of 10,000 memories.
First off good job herm on your undefeated season, reminds me of the warriors 3 years back. Second, I am a DM fan and im just going to say it clear, hardy for herm was an outstanding goalie and jesse for DM was pretty weak as much as i hate to say it.. Some poor calls by the refs i thought with my 16 years of playing hockey expiereance and the last thing is from earlier on the board, gutsch would be going to proctor, staubers both and a few others would be going to denfeld, 2 would be attending duluth central and marshall ran 3 lines throughout the whole tourney with the exception of the end of the last 2 games. Marshall outplayed, out shot, out skated and worked harder the majority of the game and wound up being a game of goalies and Hardy won with close to twice as many shots on him....
