DM had a few flashes of opportunity while STA played prevent. But, all in all, they were OWNED.

Looks like the #1 seed is going to be 2-0 in State Championship in Class A since seeding began last year. Both W's over Marshall School, Duluth.

You know with all this talk of St. Thomas moving up, it made me think that Warroad should do the same....I know that's random, but i'd like to see both of em' up with the big boys.

Move up to AA St. Thomas. BOO to St. Thomas for being in Class A again.

For that matter, why isn't Duluth Marshall a Class AA school. If they are good enough to make it to the championship game in 3 straight years, I think it's time they move up for a few years. They are no better than St. Thomas.

I'm thinking I may be sitting at my favorite local establishment with a frosty beverage in front of me with the Minnesota-Duluth / Minnesota-Twin Cities game on one TV and the Roseau / Benilde-St. Margaret's game on another.

Willie Paul gets pulled in the 1st period of the 'ship game and is named to the tourney all-star game... Not that he didnt serve it or anything but you have to admit it is unusual.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe they felt bad for all of the Paul Willie talk that Phil Housley was doing during the telecasts.

dont they always name the goalies of the top 2 teams to the all tourney team? i know for marshall it was probably tough because they alternated goalies during the tournament though.
