Nate Jose of Mankato West, a defenseman that plays defense. Great speed, great hands, excelent vision on the ice and tremendous hockey sense. Does all the things that does not show up on a stat sheet.
A defenseman should be judge on defense not on goal scoring.

I agree for the most part with this list however from woodbury Hyland is the best defenseman. Herbert is also solid however hyland gets more playing time and is overall the better player.
Gotta disagree with you on this one moose.....Herbie and Hyland are both solid but Herbie is the more unselfish of the two and tends to stay out of the box when it counts. Hyland, at times, tends to forget he's part of a team and that hurts.

Luca Gervais from Fergus has to be one of the top juniors in class A. He has good speed and good hands. It's too bad he plays in Fergus because I don't think he gets much attention up there.

Travis Seurer and Justin Parizek from lakeville south would be in the running for best junior players considering there lack of help with just a decent team there in a very tough lake conference as well these things have to be considered in evaluations...Travis Seurer 32 points
Justin Parizek 30 points. They are going to be a great help to the team next year if they decide to play for lakeville south....

It's easy for mike ness have stats if they don't get shots on him, if they do he is one of the shakiest goalies in the state. You gotta throw my 2 boys from stillwater on there Pinella and Cotter. I believe Stillwater will stand out next year with this great 1-2 combo.

Yeah I understand that, however Hyland tends to score when it matters most. Both are very solid players. It's kind of hard to compare because they play very different styles of D.

Taffe is dirty...he basically carried Providence Academy to a 4-0 loss against Breck and through two games in sections.
If it wasn't for Ness, Woodbury wouldn't've have beat White Bear, wouldn't've beat Cretin, and would've lost to AV by 5 not 2.

Pinella

Season (per game)
Shots- 26
Save %- .896
Playoffs
Shots - 30.6
Save % - .913

Ness
Season
Shots - 19
Save % - .921
Playoffs
Shots - 28.5
Save % - .930

Looks like your shot analysis maybe a bit off. Ness' save percentage actual went up with increased shots. Both very good goalies in the final analysis. I do, however, agree that Pinella should give Stillwater a solid foundation to build a team around next year.
