Agreed, yes, lance is very good, great athletic ability and needs it on that team. However, no matter how good he plays scouts don't nec. like pure athleticism, they like solid goalies that don't move much and can win big games, or tie like Meyers did with Hill the other night. Lucia explained his bias, he likes a goalie that doesn't HAVE to make big saves, of course he isn't a goalie, and I'm sure he would have liked to see Kangas make a few "big" saves this year. (Becareful what you wish for Donnie, you have the goalie you need on a good team, but not the one you need on a mediocre team.)

Unfortunately for Lance he will never win a big one or will never be on FSN and isn't getting hyped like the less than average goalies (see HM goalie) with media darlings and PR people.

Good news is the Junior teams (probably NA) just want to win and will most likely give him a good opportunity and he can take it from there but he'll need to prove good technique to reach d1.

I agree after seeing this goaltender play against a top team in the state he has alot of athletic ability but will also never get looks because of his atrocious team. Hopefully for his sake he will tryout for some nahl teams and do some camps this summer to get some recognition.
Scouts, coaches, and especially colleges are not stupid (well debatable with Lucia IMO). Anyone that has ever played hockey, especially goalie can tell that Gorg knows very little about goaltending, to be put lightly. Hearing Gorg scream, "What a great save by so and so," will not get a kid to the next level alone. Talent most of the time wins out, though a little more expose sure can't hurt. The average goalies that only succeed on great teams are in for a harsh reality after high school.

On another note I think Meyers has some D-1 level talent and is the real deal, despite being on dangerously good team in front of him. Can't wait to see what happens come sections and state!
For the Love of the Game.
