How can you guys rip a guy that works his butt off all winter to assemble some of the best talent in the Metro? The most important ingredient of his teams is that the players have great character that truely love the game of hockey. The success of the Jr. Gopher program can be measured by asking any of the players or parents that have been a part of this great program what their experience was like.
My daughter has played for the coach and his staff for a few years and she had a smile on her face for every practice, game, and team gathering. Her experience during the AAA season is what she talks about all season. She truely misses the coach, his wife, and the girls during association hockey.
Jealousy will get all you clowns nowhere! Put in the same effort he does every year and maybe you won't need to take cheap shots at him and his program through a Blog. Heck, you might even be able to beat him...or at least stay within a few goals!
Refocus people....AAA hockey is for the offseason, not association. Blaine has a shorthanded "12UA" team, and a confused "12UB" team. Good luck in a year of the H1N1.
D10, BYHA, and the coaches will look back at the end of this failed season for BYHA and wonder why they allowed this to happen. What was the true motive??????
As far as Goodtimesmoron....boys vs. girls hockey...seriously???shut off your Motley Crue cassette, chop off your mullet, and get rid of the wood stick, this is 2009!!!!!

Iraqi Hockey don't think for a minute that Norby has built the girls hockey program at North Wright County into what it is today! To be a true supporter and build a program you need to be willing to stick it out through thick and thin even if it means losing a few or alot of games. jumping to the boys program when the times get tough is not the answer to building a program. I would utter the same words for the Blaine program, develop the kids within your own program don't drag kids in from another associations to meet your winning needs it's only going to hurt your whole program including the high school program in the long run. Tell me if I'm wrong but isn't youth sports all about teaching kids not only about the sport but life lessons as well and one thing I know for sure you can't and won't win all the time. You also won't always be the best at what you do so you may have to work at it as a team or an individual.

Iraqi hockey guy....peace, no worries I appreciate the input. Fyi (last 3 years roster sizes...16,15,17).
GoodtimesJJ...if you knew about my family we had two kids, lost one 10 years ago, not appropriate for this site!!
eaaafan...you are absolutely correct! I have not built the NWC program, nor did I indicate so. I feel fortunate just to be on the ice with the kids. Presley was fortunate to make 15 new friends(Boys) last year that she still hangs out with. I am not on the building a program bandwagon, I am on the letting my daughter hang with Stma kids program(boys, girls, black, white). I would say if you are on the ice with your kid...nice job...it takes a lot of time and preparation.
Finally....I only blogged because someone called and said my name was on this site. Again, I do not wish to be a part of this rediculous Blaine situation. If anyone would like to choose another subject, let's move off this link, it is no good for hockey.
Good luck and I will see you at the rink if any of you have real names?

Yes, 'nw of';iraqi hockey wrote:Yes Elliott70 the last time I checked. NW of the Twin Cities off of 94...?
but not 'in' the northwest (reference Minnesota Hockey).
We are not accepting new communities (new hockey communities, yes, if they already fall in our boundaries).
So, no, Albertville is not in the northwest.

(Laughed all the way to the ice house to get another block for the box)
Sorry iraqi guy, just did not expect a reply.
Re: Blaine Hockey
Assuming you are 'pjnorby', then there are two of us.pjnorby wrote: Good luck and I will see you at the rink if any of you have real names?

Well I'm from Hallock and Bemidji isn't in the northwest either. Its in south central Minnesota. That would make you a Cidiot or a Moroon...your choice.

Funny BigHead, and now you got Royals Dad on here crossing over from the Hopkins rule benders.
What do the Jr. Gophers have to do with Blaine 12UA? One is a summer metro based AAA team and the other is a community based winter association team. Rosters aren't approved for another month so hopefully the Blaine team will be sent back to their community associations. AAA has been around for years so it's taken one completely unscrupulous dad to dream up the idea of inviting summer AAA team mates to his community for winter hockey. No coach, for over 15 years of AAA, has dreamt up such a plan to cheat the winter association community based structure until this piece from Blaine. If the roster is signed off on then he laughs off into the sunset and changes the future of community based hockey with clear violations of the intention of the rules. Minnesota Hockey must enforce the rules on this one. Hopkins High School is really following the same lack of respect for authority and the rules everyone else follows but they don't think they need to.
Answer this, how does a high school basketball player get thrown out of a school for academic insufficiency, move to another school, become eligible, and take the team to a cheater state title. Why was he allowed to compete? Other kids have a GPA below the requirement and sit. This kid goes to another school, along with his questionable open enrolled buddies from Minneapolis, and is immediately eligible?
Anyways, back to the subject. Any updates on when the rule benders on the Blaine 12UA team will be sent back to their community associations where they're needed by the teams they deserted?
