I have been off of the forum for most of the year but now im back. Both teams played a great game, Virginia couldnt seem to do much on the pp and i really was not impressed by hendrickson. It was really cheap when he went after joe after the game. Over all both teams played good and I am really looking forward to the rematch on 2/15. Congrats on a good game hibbing!

Must have been a great battle with Nick DeCenzo and Garret Hendrickson going up against eachother..

the game is over, whining about things that arent gonna change is like beating a dead horse. Hibbing came out on top and looks to be one of the better teams in 7a right now, still lots of season left. Definitely will be a good rematch when these two teams meet again.

Best of luck to the Bluejackets

I guess the new rival is Hibbing and Virginia instead of longtime Eveleth vs Virginia. Congrats to Hibbing, sounded like a high intensity win.

Hibbing and Virginia have always been rivals. Not to many teams like Virginia, some Eveleth kids were there... they were cheering for Hibbing. When Marshall doesn't make it to the finals...they cheer for Hibbing.

If Anderson is average why is he 3rd out of all juniors in state in points?? And don't even say its all because of Johnson.

Some other facts... Nick DeCenzo leads all senior in points and Adam Johnson leads all sophmores by 24 points!

The offense is NOT all Johnson, it was proven last night.

sour grapes??
You can clearly see for yourself on isportsnorth.com (you can re-watch the games) that the first goal did not go in, the ref was right there and blew it. And yes Virginia took some stupid penalties but there is no reason the pentalty at the end should have been 5 and an ejection, it should have been a 2 and 10. The kid was fighting to be back on the ice.
5 on 5 Virginia dominated and shut their first line down. Hibbing's power play was very good and that's where Johnson and Decenzo did some damage but they barely got shots off 5 on 5.
Exactly. Watch the film. Hibbing got 2 bogus "goals": the first one was off the pipe, and the last one was kicked in. That 5 min major was a joke... 23 for Hibbing was faking it and then was yelling at the medical staff because he wanted to keep playing. Watch the film.

how about you go ask number 23 hows he feeling before making false posts like that, who the hell wouldnt want to finish playing in the game they look forward to since the beginning of the season. give him credit for wanting to help his team get the win. how was the 5 min major a joke, a player for hibbing season is done because of a check from behind last weekend.

Checking from behind should be 2 and 10.

Sportsmanship? In case you weren't there (sounds like you weren't), Doherty also got called for slashing with 8 seconds left...I guess that's OK if you're from Hibbing, hey? That was his 3rd penalty of the night, to add on to his boarding and roughing penalties. Tough guy.

You sure like to make things sound pretty one sided. In regards to sportsmanship, Virginia had 2 roughing penalties, Hibbing had 5 they also had two boarding penalties and a slash called the same time Judnick did at the end. you come on here with the only intention of making virginia sound bad, GROW UP. It was a rough game on both sides like games between these two teams always are.

i got a picture of the scoreboard with 0 seconds left on it and theres no penalties on hibbing on it, just 1:30 left for 2 virginia player, and doherty always gets penalties no matter who they play. wasnt a one time thing

Grow up??? Ha more like your Virginia team needs to grow up. They can't handle losing so then they decide to trash the locker room before they leave. Good Job Coach Hendrickson you must be proud to have a team like you have. Sounds like you tought them how to have alot of class and respect for others.

You would know alot about faking it, who are you Chris Westin??? Ian Kritz got checked from behind last weekend and now is going to be out for awhile. About 5 or 6 years ago, a Hibbing kid got checked from behind and broke his neck and I'm sure there are many more kids from across the state that have had serious injuries from checking from behind.

So go ahead and call a check from behind a joke. It's a serious penalty and there is no need for checks from behind.
