Crowley, Crowley, Crowley. Admittedly great player, but the greatest player of the 90s is still playing.
You can all have Crowley. Give me Jamie Langenbrunner.

Don't forget that Langenbrunner bypassed his senior year to enter the Canadian Major Junior Leagues, a league with teams that would kick butt on any MN high school team, including Crowley's Jefferson teams. And then he ended up scoring nearly 200 points in two seasons.The Next One wrote:Give me 1993 Mike Crowley over 1993 Jaime Langenbrunner any time. After that Jaime has had one hell of a career.mnmouth wrote:Crowley, Crowley, Crowley. Admittedly great player, but the greatest player of the 90s is still playing.

70s - Pete Waselovich, G, IFalls; Jim Jetland, G, Grand Rapids; Scott Lecy, F, John Marshall; John Rothstein, F, Grand Rapids; Buzzy Schneider, F, Babbitt; Joe Micheletti, F, Hibbing; Bill Baker, D, Grand Rapids; Phil Verchota, D, Duluth East; Mark Pavelich, F, Eveleth; John Harrington, F, Virginia; Paul Hammer, C, Aurora-Hoyt Lakes; Dave Delich, D, Eveleth; "Chocolate" Clafton, G, Grand Rapids;
---- Being from Eveleth, those mid 70's - 1980 Grand Rapids teams broke my heart many times. Both schools were stacked with D1 talent that ended up playing all over the country. I recall, (I believe the '76) teams... Eveleth lost its first two games of the year, to G.R. and I'Falls and then ran off 18-20 wins in very high style... including over G.R. and I' Falls. Had a powerplay that appeared unstoppable. Pavelich, Hallstrom, Homola etc... Were upset 2-0 in the section 7 final in Hibbing. Clafton was unbelieveable in goal for G.R.---- plus the Rothsteins, Roths, De Cecenzos, Lempes, Bakers, and so on and so on.-----Two great-great teams....
Had the De Cenzos not earlier defected from Eveleth to Grand Rapids...I dont know that that dynasty over there would have occurred.
