Randy Schmitz fired from Lakeville North??

question #1 - How many people think it means more to the kids or the parents to win a state championship?
question #2 - How many kids really care that they win the conference?
question #3 - How many parents think their kid is the best?
question #4 - Do kids or parents get more down after a loss?
question #5 - How do parents feel about themselves after running a coach out like the one in Lakeville?

To be fair to Stumeat it should be noted that half the kids on the list either graduated last year or are still high school eligible. Osterberg, Skjie, Schroeder, Mcneely and kloos have all accepted scholarships. Aerntz, Reid, Mcneely, Lindgren and Brevig will all be in the USHL next year. Billy Simon another lakeville grad is currendtly playing at Providence. Not sure if Brutlag is still playing but he played d1. Make no mistake the talent has been there the last few years.

Tigers33-Randy, is that you?!
Thought so! You beat Moorhead and WBL? What's your point? Without Lindgren and a few lucky bounces both those teams roll you. Plain and simple. LN didn't even deserve to be in the same rink as either of those teams. Moorhead was flat in the tourney anyway and WBL, well, they are WBL at tourney time.
No, I am not a player who didn't get enough ice time or some crazy parent whose kid didn't make the team. Just a hockey observer pointing out the obvious.
You bring up the point of LS losing the last 2 section finals to LN and whether or not Weber should be 'run out of town too?'. Its not a question of 'running someone out of town' its a question of did the coach and coaching staff do whatever they could to prepare their players to win. Plain and simple. Neither one of those guys have adequate knowledge of the sport and it doesn't take a 'Scotty Bowman' to figure that out, but rather a simple observation of a few games and what their players do in certain situations. I have watched both schools play for years and neither one can run a simple, consistent forecheck, play their proper positions in the nuetral zone or at the very least even demonstrate a simple breakout. -and that is the truth!
With the exception of a few guys, its pretty obvious when nearly every potential HS star leaves before or during the course of their hs career.

Sats - I am not Randy and I dont even know him. I have even been to the Lakeville arena. However, its people like you that crack me up. All the answers!! I am just a passionate hockey fan.
It sounds to me like a bunch of parents with zero class and pride in their own community. Thats what it usually means when people run to other programs.
People wanted Giles out as coach, but all of a sudden players stuck around rather than everyone transferring out. People wanted Lee Smith out but all the players stuck together and had pride in doing something.
Do you really think a good coach would have kept the Schroeder family around? If you say yes than you do not know that family better than I know them. He was the most disliked player on the gophers in the past 10 years.
You must be on something if you think all these players left because of the coach. Please feel free to share whatever it is you have.

Mulefarm-you should be working so you can get out of your mom's basement and contribute to this world more than your wity hs hockey posts pal!
I'm dangerous? You're the one my friend, who's seems to be all over this message board all day long impacting peoples lives in such a positive way! Awesome. Let's make it a goal to get out of the childhood bunkbed by tourney time 2012. You can do it man. I'm sure of it. What do you think?

Nice response, really nothing to back up your comments on Schmitz. You make excuses why they beat Moorhead and WBL and give no credit to the coaches or skaters, but give all the blame to the coaches if things don't go your way. Why don't you go up to Lakeville North HS and pick up the Consolation Trophy and tell the team they didn't deserve it. Why do I have to leave the basement and get out of my bunkbed?Sats81 wrote:Mulefarm-you should be working so you can get out of your mom's basement and contribute to this world more than your wity hs hockey posts pal!
