They have a better chance than anyone else to win it all in my opinion but are not in the same class as some of the historic power house teams we've seen in the past. While always extremely competitive in youth hockey this group has won ZERO state championships. Last years EP team collected 6. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan, but it seems we have some posters getting a little ahead of themselves.
Who cares how many state championships a team won in youth hockey? That guarantees them nothing once they hit high school. Last year, East was the best team at state, and it took a fanned clearing attempt and a great effort by Rau to dagger East fans' hearts.

Here's the deal. Obviously, I am basing my judgments on pure speculation that East will have its full roster soon, and through the rest of the season, and that Randolph will mold them into the juggernaut I believe they can become. As I am not an East fan, East Hockey, I don't look at Saturday's loss as a humbling experience. Instead, as a high school hockey fan, I say that ain't gonna happen again. Not this season. More than likely, it will be East doing the humbling.
Right......

Who cares how many state championships a team won in youth hockey? I'll tell you who cares - the players that won those championships. Unless the teams that won those championships have had a mass exodus of players (which does happen) I'm pretty sure they are not intimidated by East and would love to have an opportunity to knock them off. Is East very good? Definitely. Can they be beaten? Definitely. Let's be honest, they're good, but they ARE NOT the '27 Yankees. IMHO

I'll tell you who doesn't care about those state championships: the present. Past championships don't mean jack. East, Tonka, any team, better be concerned with winning right now.

Intimidation is written on the scoreboard after the game is played.

I'm a little confused - can you quantify just what the "present" is? The last time I checked "the present" was tonka eating east's lunch for them. Is there some other "present" of which I'm unaware?

I see what you're saying, mnmouth.

Past accomplishments are over, and they are mere trophies on their mantel.

Teams like East and Tonka cannot over look their opponents because they each have a target on their back.

But after the game is played it "don't mean jack" cancelling the intimidation factor right?

PuckU126, would you classify the Stanley Cup as a "mere trophy"?

In reference to the context I used above, and what I was referring too, yes I would.

My statement makes sense if you don't pick it apart like a politician.
