Back to the Alexandria beats Little Falls in every sport. I wonder why that is hockeyPLAYA. I think it is because most Alexandria athletes are all one sporters. Close to all of the Alexandria athletes pick a sport when they are young and stick with it throughout their high school careers. I would hope they could be good at everything. You look at any other school in the conference, Tech, Sartell, Fergus, LF; they all still compete and many of their athletes are 2 to 3 sport athletes. We'll see how Alexandria's one sport athletes do this year in section 4. I'm not saying they will be bad or not in the runnings by any means, but I do not think they will come out on top of the section this year, even though their players do only play hockey. <p></p><i></i>

One Sport Athletes, are you dry humping me right now???? Everyone i know from Alex plays at least 2 sports if not 3. Don't say things until you got the facts. hockeyplaya might of had a typo cause it was 5-4 in alex not 5-0 so who knows what will happen this year. <p></p><i></i>

In my opinion people who are multiple sport athletes are probly more likely to be better at everything they do, maybe because of the different muscles and coordinations that are required for all the different sports. so in my opinion this argument about alex being good because they are one sport athletes is pretty ignorant, coaching probly has more to do with good hockey teams, along with traditions and ice time. <p></p><i></i>

The top 10 players for the hockey are team are in atleast 2 sports if not 3. Sorry that you have to make such weak excuses like that to make little falls sound better than alexandria. This year and years to come will be chance for the schools in 4a to prove to the MSHL that they don't need to add another class. It would be interesting to know this powerful sections overall record in state competition. <br> <p></p><i></i>

Didn't warrrior4life always play on the jorgensen festler line, which will be the main line this year, the last two years he was in little falls. And if he is now, according to Mr. Slapstick, on the brainerd third line this upcoming year that might say something about the differences in the two programs. Sounds like this kid is more concerned with LF than his own program, you jumped ship now live with it. The Festler. Jorgensen, Hanowski line your talking about isn't a line you would crack anytime soon. You would be a third line player at either school if that. When you've accomplished something, like playing regular varsity hockey, maybe people will take your opinions more seriously. If Brainerd (AA) has to compare itself to LF (A) to justify the quality of it's program than their heading down the wrong road. festlers line sucked, why are you still talking about them, are they on LF's team this year, nope, then they aint gunna make no durn difference in any game LF plays. Also, section 4 isnt going to do anything great this year at the state tourny just because they added a few teams that have a little better name for themselves. section 4 still isnt anything special this year compared to what some of the top teams from around the state will be. i bet no one from section 4 will break top 20 in the rankings in this season... <p></p><i></i>

Preseason rankings don't mean anything. This year will probably not be a very strong year for 4a again. Wait a couple years, and we will get recognition. Last winter I watched Sartell's pewee A team take down Moorhead's A team with ease. I know there is quite a bit of time before we see these kids at the varsity level, and things can change...but this gives you a general idea of what we have coming up. <p></p><i></i>

I realized that about 5 minutes after I posted when i was reading preseason reports on dents site. so I appologize, and I agree that preseason rankings mean pretty much nothing, only after at least 5 games does it even kinda matter <p></p><i></i>

I can't understand why you keep ripping on LF...the fact is they will be become more formidable each year as J. Festler and the Hanowski brothers mature - and will return to the state tourney at some point in the next 3 years - book it.<br><br>As for Warroad - if your so great, why don't you play AA with the BIg Boys? ANSWER...cause then you wouldn't even have reached the state tourney in 2003 or 2005 (when Anoka and AHA won it). <p></p><i></i>

bobby orr the point you just made about warroad is pretty rediculous. First of all last year Warroad was just as good as the best AA schools, for instance they tied Moorhead at Moorhead. Every year they are just as good as all the AA schools if not better. <p></p><i></i>

Well, reading through this list of jawing, I could only come to one conclusion: Alexandria is so much better than anyone in section 4a that they should walk right through the section tournement. In this case, it should be a yawner year at the old RCC, ..................however, I don't really believe this, and honestly none of the people from alex can believe this. Lets not forget oh arrogant ones, that not only did Alexandria come down to section 4a from 8aa, but Willmar is there as well as, (sit down) Fergus Falls.......................................now we should have a definite answer as to were the top 5 teams will sit with one another about the middle of the regular season, with Fergus joining Alex, Willmar and Little Falls in the CLC, and I don't believe that LF or FF should've gotten rid of Wadena on their schedules. There are all kinds of specualations as to what will happen, however I think we all can admit this: The last two years have been somewhat of a surprise in the newly risen Wadena and Little Falls teams joining the State Tournement brethran, Fergus Falls hasn't had the power wich it possessed in it's domination of the section for the majority of the last 10 years, and Alexandria and Willmar have not been anything special recently. This year the section should play out and become even more competitive than last year's race. I don't think that any one of 5 teams can be counted out yet, (LF FF Alex W or Wadena ) untill the preseason and first games are in the books we won't know anymore. <p></p><i></i>

Speaking of arrogance... where are the other teams in section 4A in your list? You can name 5 teams that you think are going to be close....but any one of those 5 you list could be bounced by another, including your non-list maker Sartell. LF FF and Wadena have all had state berths, yes it is true. But those teams don't have all the same athletes coming back this year and they aren't competing against the same teams they did when they advanced to State. Alex will give decent competition to this section, the kind of competition that has long been needed in this lack lustre section. <p></p><i></i>
