JP will be back at Holy Family**WestMetro wrote:Looks like official Family Fire notice is now on Gabes twitter. Good advance info by SuperStar!
Assuming John Peterson does not early depart this month, this solidifies the Family in the top 10 going into the season. But Gabe will have that first Turkey Trot buzz attack from the Hornets at Plymouth as his initiation.

Little recent throw back in honor of the little bro moving down to HF#TBT #Family
Does anyone have any updates on the Edina Boe/Enriquez situation?

I had heard over the weekend from a pretty reliable source that he is playing this season.
If you are talking about Gabe Heifort at Holy Family, Im hearing some family is coming with him and will live in the Chan/Victoria/Waconia area. I sat near his Mom at an Elite game last year, she is an avid hockey fan and a "Gabe promoter" , so watch for her at the Turkey Trot Tourney where they play Edina in the opening round.

Elks are more than fine the next 2 to 3 years if Sophomore Goalie Meyers stays. Rumor again this year is he has been offered another spot at SSM. Can’t see this kid moving he is ER strong but you never know what kind of influence he is getting. Would hate to see him go.alcloseshaver wrote:Untested goalies, Sars would have found a way... Might have to score 5 goals a game this year. Will look like Blaine the last the last few years.WestMetro wrote:Anyone have input on the Elk River 2014-15 goaltending outlook?

Thought the entire family had to move? On a full ride I'm sure.WestMetro wrote:If you are talking about Gabe Heifort at Holy Family, Im hearing some family is coming with him and will live in the Chan/Victoria/Waconia area. I hate to start this here about a sophomore goalie but Ben Meyers will be lucky to see playing time this year... I saw him at the 16s and he was not in the ballpark as far as level of play. Look for one of the upperclassman to step up. This may be another Ben Leis type situation where a kid is highly touted as a youth but never fulfills expectation at the HS level. I can assure you there has not been a spot offered to Meyers at SSM... The only way he is going there is if he bangs down the door!ERPWA Hockey wrote:Elks are more than fine the next 2 to 3 years if Sophomore Goalie Meyers stays. The senior will be given the first chance to win the job. He was in the nets when they beat East 8-2 this summer.Stars67 wrote:I hate to start this here about a sophomore goalie but Ben Meyers will be lucky to see playing time this year... My understanding is both parents have new jobs in the metro area. Both of Gabe's siblings are at the 'U'. A private school is what Gabe needs at this point. It all seems to fit for them.alcloseshaver wrote:Thought the entire family had to move? Good to hear the move is legal. Does Bemidji have another goalie to step in?elliott70 wrote:My understanding is both parents have new jobs in the metro area. Both of Gabe's siblings are at the 'U'. Saw Gabe play this past weekend, great glove but not sure level of Ras. Best goalie of tournament was Senior Josh Kuehmichel from Hopkins.alcloseshaver wrote:Good to hear the move is legal. Benny will be just fine. He had a bad weekend at 16's. Looked very strong at D League tryout and in Velocity 3 on 3 tournament....Stars67 wrote:I hate to start this here about a sophomore goalie but Ben Meyers will be lucky to see playing time this year... They will need him to be just fine by mid-season and beyond to break East's stranglehold on the section.MWS coach wrote:Benny will be just fine. He had a bad weekend at 16's. Bemidji has two seniors that played a lot of varsity last year. They are both quality players. They also have an older freshman that is very good. He played with the 102''s in St Cloud this summer.
Bemidji will be fine in goal and should make a run at the section championship.

Yes, but it will be Long's net to lose. And Wendlandt will be watching from the bench quickly when Lechs sees what he has in Begley.BP wrote:WestMetro wrote:So, are the Top 10 PreSeason Team's Starting Goalies Pretty Well Set?

Doesn't Benilde have two young goalies that came in this year as well?

Long and Bischel will be the BSM goalies this year, just as it was last year.
