All you can say is wow  Saw a call at the Int'l Cup in Blaine this weekend where a player was hooked completely off his skates and got a diving penalty. Perhaps the ref should watch this tape to see the true meaning of "dive".

I benched a player this weekend for acting like a wussie and trying to gain a call. I hate that. The well mannered thing to do is to put the ball out of play if the opposition gets "hurt". I no longer let the players decide to be nice, I make the referee stop play. Too many theatrics now days.

Rincon could have don that.

Get somebody in here who can pitch the 8th inning.

Where is Letroy Hawkins when you need him?
6.07 ERA for the NYY. 1.52 WHIP. Still want him?

On the soccer part, they really need to start cracking down on it. Until they call it at the top, players at the youth level will try it because they see it on TV. I never let any of my guys try it or get away with it. No place for it.

Is it just me or does Craig Monroe own Detroit?

I'd say his signing was worth it just for the games we play against them.

.389; 18 AB; 7 H; 2 HR; 6 RBI; .722 SLG; 1.143 OPS vs. Tigers this season. Those are almost Kubel-like numbers.

We'll take it.

The old 3 run homer trick.

Nobody left stranded after one of those.

Need some more of that against the AL competition coming up cuz there wont be any 3 hit complete game shutouts vs these guys.

So, the key going forward will be:

HIT THE BOOFIN BALL
