Finally, things are heating up. Now to address a few items...
1) BIAFP and AngusYoung are different folks. It was proven several times last year and the Pinhead knows it. If you still don't get it, ask your brother - at least he "thinks" he knows AY.
2) Angus does owe the Pinhead a dinner @ Patrick McGovern's(that was the bet). Unfortunately, the Pinhead would rather sit @ home and throw darts and drag names through the mud than collect on the debt.
3) PB and the Pinhead are playing their "we don't like each other" game even though informed sources know they converse @ least weekly via the phone. Can you say "Trojan Horse"?
4) PB cannot be JD as JD is funny and does not waste time with rhymes and songs.
5) As if you did not know Pinhead, PB was referring to tournament games.
6) We wait with anticipation to see the Spuds come up short so Mr Shooter can pull his disappearing act again.

The last 3 games is what CDH won in 2006 in St Paul ,Mn, USA.

It was at the state tournamnet. The last 3 games played there is what the good folks remember.

Not two out of the last 3. No, thats not it.

Not: "oh, the refs screwed us'. That doesnt do it either.

Its not the last 3 games now.

Its the last 3 games played in Lent.

Dont the Spud supporters know this?

Shouldn' t they by now?

You cant talk about the last 3 games now.

You gotta wait. You gotta Wait Until lent.

8 more days and its here.

Public or Private
Your prediction is free.
Whose got what it takes
To win the last three.

Packerboy is self-righteous
And he tells you the reasons.
That it all boils down
To angels or demons.

“We are here to win”
These fans they will shout.
Hope you draw White Bear
Cuz they’ll be one and out.

Minnhock experts are many
We have pundits galore.
Too bad for 7AA
That they shut the back door.

“We’ve got a great team”
Many a poster has said.
If your wins equal two
Your team is Moorhead.

A protestant East fan
From Duluth you see.
Exiled us in the Café
His name is King Lee.

Our opinions like our teams
Are really quite diverse.
I think his being liberal
His choice he should reverse.

Lent is almost upon us
It will begin the big fray.
I hope that me and Jack Daniels
Can celebrate on Fat Tuesday.

Neut's rhymes they a true and rank with the best
All of the teams think they can pass the big test

The CDH Raiders won 3 games at the end of last year
The Circle Pine conglomorates have one trophy to cheer

Even "poor witto " Roseau has won lots of times
So many great champions that played oh so fine

But there are so many teams that have not won that last game
The Spuds will try to reverse that and get all the fame

But the title will be won by a team that heaven sent
Get out the tuna fish and just Wait Until Lent.

What to call this thread when Lent we finally make

"I am such an idiot" is what Lefty has said
Better think fast and use your head

Its just around the corner, it will finally come at last
Its like Ferris always said "It comes at you real fast"

Yup, a brand new name we will have to invent
But nothin to wory about now, it can Wait Until Lent

PB

What to call it?
I'll help you out
Cause I KNOW, come March
You're apt to shout

Once March has come and we've spun the yarn
You can change it to, (with a shout), OH DARN!!!!
Cause what I've been sayin' since last Fall
Come March: MWWIA

One week.

7 days.

168 hours.

Probably about 20 -25 posts.

Thats all the time left before Lent comes.

Will the teams be ready?

Will the posters be ready?

Will the predictions here come true or will "I have sinned against you"

Either way its a joyous time of year for Catholics.

Church all covered in purple and no music at Mass; stations of the cross; no meat on Friday; perpetual adoration; self deprivation and lots of kneeling.

But we have to try to not get too excited.

We will just have to wait.

Wait Until Lent.

When the spuds come to call
Winners they will be

We are now inside of a week before the joyous Lenten Season begins.

Most teams have just one game left before Lent.

AHA finishes up tonight against Farmington.

CDH plays Hastings tonight.

BSM plays Chisago on Saturday.

And, of course, the "We lost to STA" Hill Murray Pioneers go against the Spuds up in the Red Ribber Valley on Saturday night in an Epic battle.

I am sure SS, AP and select members of the Shady Bunch along with many other minnhock dignitaries will be in attendence.

I think it would be appropriate if slapshooter, AP and the Shady Bunch were seated at "rink side" and introduced before the opening faceoff as honored guests like at a prize fight.

Then thats it. Thud. Its over.

Seniors look to every game as possibly their last.

Parents sit in the stands and cant breathe. They can barely talk and when you say "Hi" all you get is a nervous twitch and a forced grin.

Attendence in the student sections swell.

Every face off critical. Every penalty called a potential game changer.

The goalies become even more pivotal.

No tommorow. No next game. Only next season for some and for so many kids the end of competitive hockey.

This will start to happen around Ash Wednesday.

Not much longer to Wait Until Lent.

Only if its the Nina , the Pinta , or the Santa Maria.

Yup, thats right folks, it was the Catholics that discoverd America when good ole Chris Columbus landed on Plymouth Rock back in 1861 and claimed it for France.

And now they want to kick us out. Go figure.

Well, on our way out the door we will take 2 little trophies with us.

The Class AA & A championships....again.

There isnt anything any ship or train can do about that.

When you go against the Catholics , you go against America itself.

God Bless America and Wait Until Lent.

Here they are boys. The Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria sailing on the Mississippi and loaded with Catholics

They will land and disembark right below the Xcel right around March 9th.
Our boys will then take the ice to the joy of so many fans who have come to love the Catholic teams so much.

Wait Until Lent

Kinda reminds me of a different voyage...

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip.
That started from this tropic port,
aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin' man,
the skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day,
for a three hour tour, a three hour tour………
The weather started getting rough,
the tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew,
the Minnow would be lost; the Minnow would be lost.
The ship took ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle,
with Gilligan, the Skipper too,
the Millionaire, and his Wife,
the Movie Star, the Professor and Mary Ann,
here on Gilligan's Isle.
