Was it a good crowd tonight? I couldn't make it. No, definetly not a playoff atmosphere. You didn't miss much. Actually this was one of the better crowds this year at Richfield, for either school. The Chaska fans only had something to cheer about in the first when they were taking shots at the Reil...

That may have just been confusion between the "Great Eight", where the A and AA would combine as one All-Start team.

It wasn't until the last third or so of the season the Blaze started playing good last year, and nothings better then being hot going into the playoffs. But B'ville is in, arguably, the toughest section in the state now and I don't know if they have the goal tending nor the depth to make it to St. P...

A commitment from McManus would be another great recruit from the '08 class heading up to Duluth, but we'll see how it plays out.

I must add Connolly has been doing great in the USHL, as he was named offensive player of the week this past week (Leading the Stampede with 39 pts.)

It looked as though Centennial was overlooking the Crimson and looking ahead to Thursday's match-up in Duluth. With all its depth, you can't overlook any team in the NWSC. The game was called tight by the referees and Centennial did not allow themselves to make a comeback with some of the penalties ...

I'm going to go ahead and say Rochester John Marshall consistently has a loud student section, regardless of how down their team is.

Re: "Heroes" star at Jefferson

Milo Ventimiglia from Heroes was at Jefferson High School last week. (he's a star on the show and probably well-known to teen girls). Apparently he checked out a hockey game because he may be starring in the movie version of "Blades of Glory". No, not the Will Ferrell comedy, but the non-...

Coon Rapids definetly has a talented first line of forwards and are capable of upsetting some teams down the stretch, but goal tending could be and issue.

Re: Is Minnesota really the "State of Hockey"?

Check out http://uaafan.blogspot.com What are your thoughts? To me, people in other places don't understand unless they've lived in Minnesota and absorbed the culture. This guy is basing his whole argument solely on one statistic. There is clearly more to being titled the "State of Hockey"...
