VFW State
First, I am not buying the word "Invitational". Last time I checked, teams earned there way there through district playoffs. And, No. I do not care about your technical mumbo jumbo. People are on here bashing the VFW State tournament. If that is not your point, then what is your point?
...

Re: Edina vs. Owatonna
I could be wrong, but I thought it was a rule that you had to bring a back-up. Even if, they are pulled up from a B team. I remember an A PW team doing this 3 years back in regions.

Otherwise, replace that prediction with:

Owatonna will take its timeout less than 1/2 way through the fi...

Kirby Puckett
Whether you like baseball or not, anyone who can not make the correlation between Kirby's accomplishments and what could be applied in a hockey situation is clueless in my opinion.

Re: Re:to many good teams
I would have to disagree a bit with "AJ". WBL did not dominate the first two periods. In fact, they were out shot. They happened to get a couple, and Collette came up big on a breakaway and a few two on ones.

WBL did stop playing in the third and never adjusted to the floating wing....

FL
Yes, they are the 2nd seed from D2. They beat Tartan, Roseville, and NSP in the district tournament. They lost to WBL in the championship game. Beating Tartan & NSP is no surprise. Beating Roseville would be considered an upset, although Roseville has not played all that well lately. They lost 3...

Roseville/Forest Lake
Forest Lake did beat Roseville 3-0. They play WBL on Sunday for the D2 championship. I would consider this a mild upset. They beat Roseville earlier this year.

Host Seed
Allowing a host seed is a joke. Earn your way in, or you don't belong. It is that simple.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... nhs>gc1 at: 2/20/06 2:12 pm

Re: re goalies
If a majority puts only McMahon & Lee at the top, then they have not properly included Owen Collette (WBL). Also, McMahon should stop criticizing his own D on these boards. It will come back to haunt him.

Owen Collette (WBL) would easily be on the list of goalies.
