Think what you want - but there were scouts. I don't claim to know ALL scouts from this area but I do know there were some MJHL, D3 and at least one guy that scouts D1. I guess he also drove up for some of the JGA tournament, too. Do you guys have any idea just how many scouts live & work in thi...

ya i dont think any team lost because of reffing or anything. but the reffing was kinda poor i thought. I know i shouldnt complain about this, but after the tournament was done, i found out that the ref of lakevilles first game and the championship game, was a parent of a tartan jgb player, and if ...

You're totally entitled to your opinion, but if it were me I wouldn't be hard on players caring about things like this. If it didn't matter, they wouldn't have recognition like this at the high school & college levels. Many of these kids are seniors and it was their last season of organized hoc...

Are you guys for real with all this? Let me remind you this is JGB. And why are you still arguing over who is better? The season is over and its time to move on to spring and summer hockey, for those who even do that. I just say congrats to players who had good seasons whomever you may be. You're t...

In response to the reffing, you can look at it through 2 vantage points really: 1) They let too much go and it hurt the style of play of certain teams. OR 2) This is the state championship and you have to expect them not to call as many penalties and let the players decide the outcome instead of th...

I thought this tournament went very well, except for the bad reffing. IMO it was unfortunate that Lakeville and RAVE didn't meet in the championship, because I think it would have been the most entertaining game. Congratulations to Lakeville for winning the state championship. You definitely earned...

ANY of the eight remaining teams can win state. A Goalie could get hot and shut down the best scorers... you never know.

It'll be a fun weekend.

Its all good though, me and WBhockey08 are going to Russia to play this summer. And i have to say its a blast. Sounds like a great experience. Do they really push skating technique there like in years past? I really admire the style and quality of hockey that comes from that region of the world. Ha...

Plus, didn't you play Wayzata? not Jefferson?
They are referring to the JGA team here.
My mistake.

buffalo-4 b-ville-2 wessys-3 wayzata-4 (ot) we lost a heartbreaker. if anyone saw that game even if u were from wayzata please have the dignity to say that we clearly should have won that game. its sad that a couple of people can lose an entire season for whole team of hardworking players. as much ...

Wessys=done for the year. I love it when a team can't back up its own talk! Not sure how losing in OT means they didn't back their talk? They are a solid team and have several really talented guys. I've seen many HS teams that have D1 committed players get knocked out of the playoffs. Does that mak...

Eh ya but you have to make the best of it. At the jr gold level i have 60+ goals and close to 90 points this season.. and who says the only fun hockey is highschool.... I'm glad you're making the best of it. Understand that coaches are human and they make mistakes (although they'd never admit it!) ...

Sorry to hear about being cut, you guys. It really bothers me that - that happens to so many gifted players that deserve to play at that level. Some HS coaches will cut the experienced seniors and replace them with similar ability underclassman. What those coaches neglect to understand is that the u...

Wessy's Nice job today. Even though you lost to the RAVE you still played a pretty solid game. A couple of your guys get a little emotional and lose their focus and that doesn't help the team. But all and all you do good things out there. Keep up the good work and good luck playing Wayzata for the 7...

RAVE players,

Nice job clinching the top seed in state today. You played a solid team (the Wessy's) and you prevailed. I also understand that all lines were scoring this weekend.

Nice work.

Rave vs. Wessy's tomorrow at 10:40 for the #1 seed. last time two teams played was a 1-1 tie This will be a great game. The RAVE has been a solid team throughout the season and the Wessy's have gained a lot of momentum along the way. Both teams have quality players that play with a lot of heart. I ...

I've seen plenty of talent at the JGB level. The teams may not be as deep as high school or JGA teams... but there are solid players on their top lines. And I've been impressed with speed, hands, shots and vision on the ice. They also seem to be having a lot of fun. Which I believe is not as prevale...

I agree with sauce2122. My point all along is that any team can win State. And "who wants it the most" will be proven when the final buzzer sounds.

It depends on the teams playing, of course. My opinion... yes it's possible for a JGA team to beat a varsity team. Some HS coaches prefer having a couple of selfish players that dangle all day and don't pass; the kids that want the glory for themselves. But it's easy to contain a team of a few talen...

Lakeville has beaten Edina twice on the year. 4 -3 in the Albert Lea Tourney and 5-3 in the championship of the Edina Tourney. Thanks for helping make my point... beating Edina by a score of 4-3 makes them comparable teams... certainly not "considerably better than" as stated in a previou...

I'm not trying to argue with you and you're totally entitled to your opinion... but have you seen Edina or the RAVE play? I'm curious how you can be so certain of a Lakeville victory? I've seen all of those teams play and there's no way I would predict a winner of that game. They all have strong po...
