MSC , CM not Prep schools
For the record, Mount St Charles and Catholic Memorial, the two teams that AHA played last year, are not New England prep schools. The top New England prep schools are head and shoulders above these two programs.

Here are a few matchups that will shed some light...Blake traveled east a few we...

Blake
As best as I can tell, it looks like Blake is playing two eastern prep teams in mid December; Governor Drummer Academy and Tilton. I'm not sure if that is part of a tournament or not. Should be interesting. Both are Div I prep teams. GDA is an average team, finishing with something like a 13 - 9 rec...

if it ain't broke....
I see this Midget Major vs. High School debate on a lot of different forums, mainly in states where midget hockey and high school hockey are competing for players. Frankly, from where I sit (which is halfway across the country), I don’t see this as a big issue in Minnesota, where midget hockey is no...

Good to see
I’m glad to see Mount Saint Charles is traveling out to Minnesota and keeping east-midwest series thing going. It makes for some interesting games.

Unfortunately, it’s coming about 5 years too late. I agree with sickofnoknowldge21’s assessment that both MSC and Catholic Memorial are just good...

MN Blades in Chowder Cup Tournament
Minnesota will be fielding a team in this year's Chowder Cup Tournament outside of Boston. The tournament kick's off this Thursday and runs through the weekend. This is a great Jr level off-season tournament. Glad to see Minnesota fielding a team this year.
Best of luck to the Blades ... hope you...

A fun team to watch. They should do well in this tournament. I don’t know the final score, but they were up 5 ...

Puckguy - It is the Chowda Cup …. But instead of spelling words the way they are pronounced, this silly English language of ours is always adding silent “r”s to the end of words. <!...

Mount Dynasty ends
I know it's not Minnesota Hockey, but I thought some you might find this interesting. Mount Saint Charles's 26 year Rhode Island State championship finally came to an end this year after they got swept in a best of three series against Toll Gate high school (a public school no less). It's significan...

While comparing Hockey East to WCHA, don't forget to include WCHA's head-to-head dominance over Hockey East schools. Over the past 2 seasons WCHA is an impressive 15 -13 -4 against HE. Would that mean that the games still "..mean nothing.." as you asserted in your earlier posts? Or if the Stars win in New England with Kronik, do the games suddenly mean something?

connect the dots

prep
Just for clarification...in hockey terms Mount Saint Charles and Catholic Memorial are not considered “Prep” schools. Neither plays in the prep school leagues. Both play private and public high schools in their respective states. And both have lost and will continue to lose players to eastern prep s...
