Re: Rosaeu Rams 08-09

Lee, Landman, and Oliver - are they staying? Probably not, if they couldn't get it done this year, no way they do it next year. 2 out of those three won't stick around to find out. I would think they would like another shot at it. Even Neal Broten has said that the one important thing missing from ...

Re: Water over the dam

Edina beat Roseau at state even when Roseau had a forward line featuring Neal Broten, Aaron Broten and Butsy Erickson.... all future NFLers. Neal was a guard, Aaron was a tackle and Butsy was a tight end.   You must be an old Wannaska school marm that feels compeled to correct every...

If you take the private schools out to have a seperate tournement then BOTH trophies are tarnished. The champoinship should mean you are THE BEST OF ALL. I don't even like the 2 class system because sometimes the A champ looks pretty good and it makes some folks wonder....what if?

Ogie You put a lot of thought into your idea. I think it has a lot of merit, especially for a guy like me who never bought into the AA & A thing. Since that started I have felt that there have been several class A champs that would have liked a shot at being the overall champion. But, the challe...

I can’t believe Blaine coach David Aus actually said… “If we switch goalies, we probably win that game 8-2,” What a most undeserving slam to Blaine starting goalie, Danny Harper. Obviously, Harper did not have a good game, but how much of that was due to the accuracy of Roseau’s laser-beam shooting...

u guys are just jealous we got the #1 hockey team in the nation and out 2nd place team in ND took the almight roseau rams to overtime and shoulda beat them but a bad call at the ned of the game gaave the rams the powerplay in which they scored. Oh, the refs did it. Guess we've all heard that before...

Thank you for posting the Star & Tribune link. I am out of state, mowing my lawn while wearing shorts, and would never have seen it. Now the Roseau players will need to hunker down and concentrate on one game at a time. It's been said that all year their opponents crosshairs have been on them. W...

I can't believe all the predictions of Blaine scoring 4 and 5 goals on Roseau. You guys have a better chance of seeing Sasquatch. There have been only 5 goals scored on the Rams in the last 11 games, and that includes Blaine who had zip. Ya, I know it was out in the cold. It's not just Mike Lee in g...

Seeding 1-8 is obviously correct. After all, a favorable position in the brackets is something EARNED through superior previous play. And, after all that's the way it's done in all the sectional playoffs...is it not? Seems odd that the number 1 ranked team should have to play Blaine, a higher ranke...

The Rams consider a class "A" team their biggest rival? I thought it was the women's team USA. For your information. The Rams don't really consider Warroad their biggest rival...others do. Roseau considers whoever stands in their way to a championship as their rival. The Roseau - Warroad ...

Water over the dam

Does anybody know how many more times Roseau would have won the state championship had they not had to play Edina? Edina beat Roseau at state even when Roseau had a forward line featuring Neal Broten, Aaron Broten and Butsy Erickson....all future NHLers. How? As I recall they did it by playing a hig...

Roseau-Blaine game

Seems odd that the number 1 ranked team should have to play Blaine, a higher ranked team than teams 2, 3 & 4 play against in the first round. And then, they be placed in the same bracket as Hill, who was ranked higher than Benilde. I smell a rat!! No matter...Roseau will just go out and play gre...
