Having had a kid in CODP for many years, I can tell you the selectivity is not what it was even 3 years ago (and I am told paying a little extra money doesn't hurt to get in). And before you swallow the koolaid that Joe is passing out, get the straight story on the "new" CODP (curious that...

There are many other programs to consider as well. One of the concerns I have had about the program now known as CODP (as opposed to the original CODP), and have expressed directly to CODP, was his constant talking about girls behind their backs, or about those who choose to do some other program. T...

Elite AllStars 5 Thoroughbreds 1.

Komarek hat trick, Romo & Brausen each one. Cheap penalty by Burman--can't skate with them so tried to hurt them!

Why would anyone post such a mean-spirited comment? The comment is unnecessary and not helpful to anything. Sounds like hockey fan 01 has an agenda. They are two great girls and very talented hockey players!

Chicken dance: Are you suggesting there are 91's from MN who should be on the U18 National team but were not selected for the NDP program? If so I would be interested in knowing who you are referring to? As to the suggestion it is the same kids every year I think you need to look at the facts. The 9...

They don't actually sign anything until November but they can verbally commit anytime. Of course verbal commitments can be undone by either the athlete or the school but typically honored. The significance is that if a school only needs 3 forwards, the coach commits to the athlete that one of those ...

They can be contacted before July 1 just not by telephone so it typically is by email and letter until then, unless the athlete goes and visits at the school. There are specific rules regarding "dark" periods when contact is prohibited or limited. There are at least 5 local girls who are g...

For the reord

Thunderbird 77: I think you are vastly overstating the impact of one game. Both Dempsey and Decker are 91 forwards who made the team but had no points in the All Star game and several of the selected players had one assist hardly a key differentiator at this level. Also the goalie on the losing All ...

Correction . . . the girls in this class, and their parents, for the most part are not into self promotion. I have been watching many of the comments regarding the next group coming up and know that it is many of these parents out there tooting the horns of their daughters as being the strongest gro...

There are quite a few commitments--it's just that the girls in this class aren't into self-promotion, which is admirable.

And...it's showcase for gosh sak es! Amen! Leave the girl's choice alone--there are lots of opportunities and you have to chose what is right for you. To Puck Bag's point, showcase hockey is not great hockey--many teams have no systems and it is a lot of individual as opposed to team effort. Someon...

I would have to disagree about it being an "improved" tryout for the girls and must say I heard plenty of complaints this weekend including, but not limited to: tryouts are more diluted this year given the numbers of girls trying out (girls still don't have the numbers or depth as the boys...
