I have not been on this board in sometime now, after reading some of the comments I just wanted to let everyone know, if it's meant to be it will happen. My son was on Elites his Sr. year last year...and guess what...he came from the SMALL school and trust me the team was not good, and the team play...

ZAMMAN...I have to add to your little bleep about playing in your older years...my son played with a group of D1's, Jr.A's, a pro and they had one older guy as my son would say 50's...maybe late 40's ... a goalie...he gave the boys a run for their money...left them thinking I can tell you that, the ...

MN in NAHL draft
As a parent... my son turned down a tender, actually 2 tenders and one with an Canada team. It is not an easy process first of all, it's not about where...You can't compare playing in NE, OH vs. Alaska...it is not the same. Alaska has good programs! Don't get me wrong...but if my son can play closer...

Doglover, My son tried out with a USHL team last year his Jr. year...it was an invite only. Great Experience! You get a feel for the tryout process and your son will see a bigger picture. My son was offered a tender with a NAHL team this year, he has rec'd phone calls and letters from several teams ...

Thanks for the info. it was a big help.
No one knows about the SIJHL out of Canada? Most of the teams if not all are out of Thunder Bay. This is their NAHL league from what I understand.

Some of you seem to be very knowledgeable with the exception of the last post. My son was offered tenders with 2 different teams one in the NAHL and one in the SIJH league. He turned both down prior to the draft and the location of the teams. He still is considering both teams being they have both h...

team minnesota wins chicago showcase
Summer, I like to consider those from a small school... have what it takes to play D1 just as those that play from bigger schools...proving it via Elites/ 8's/ and even the Showcase...whatever route they go that is competitve hockey... they are the diamonds in the rough that are waiting to be found....

TH has Jr. forward Comrie returning, Soph. Ben Ruberg and Fr.Alex Anderson and Sean Graden. and net minder Aaron Lee. They would be the most seasoned of the team and the foundation. TH has a young team. based on the youth hockey numbers and the kids that are moving up the ranks...TH may surprise man...

There are kids that have been out of more than one game due to injury, and some that came back to play prior to being fully recovered. So that may be a reason you do not see some of them with many points. You miss out on games you miss out on the scoring. You come back not 100% and your not at the t...
