If the argument is that section 1AA is one of the weaker sections I don't think there is much to argue about . South is an above average team this year with some decent wins. They have beaten teams they should beat, but they lost to the better teams in the Lake. They are capable of pulling off an up...

Century will win this one 4-1. The first meeting between these two, North actually outshot Century and maybe even slighly outplayed them. The difference was North's turnovers and Kautz's goaltending. Century is physical and has a home crowd advantage. Bruce F. gets these kids ready to play in games ...

Morin from Breck is a senior. Here is a list of 1994 kids that went to the USA hockey advanced festival in New York last summer. Goalies Brock Kautz, Rochester Century Anders Franke, Elk River Defense Lance Carney, White Bear Jonah Johnson, Hill Murray Kyle Olson, Wayzata Brady Skjei, Lakeville Nort...

Some pretty good hockey from what seems to be a good group of 94 kids. I thought the game between D8 and D2 on Saturday was a very solid competitive game. Cates, Kautz, Franke, and Olson might be at the top of the goaltender list. Skjei was the best defenseman that I saw, with several of the D2 grou...

Derek Perkings is in fact a junior this year at Lakeville North High School. He just completed his first year of varsity hockey. His parents are outstanding people and are not self promoting, so I doubt that they would start rumors about Derek being a freshman. So we should probably write about more...

Please tell me who these great Century players are. We played them early in the year and they did not do much for me. I understand that they have improved and have some quality wins which is a bit more that North has done. I have seen both Faupels and Birkestrand. These guys are good talented hockey...

So far not too many kids leave one lakeville school for the other. South has lost some very good sophomore hockey players to STA which has really hurt them. The split has hurt the depth of our hockey program, especially with the kids that are now in HS. South has a very good group of 2nd year bantam...

My bad on the Owatonna name. If your talking about bad coaches you should take a look at what the panthers have too offer. This is a team that could be around .500 in the lake conference give or take a few games, but we loose games because of mistakes and a culture of mediocrity. If our kids play a ...

Arentz will be in goal for north. I would have to respectfully disagree about south goalie last night. The owls did get alot of shots but not too many good chances, odd man situations or good shot from close in. They did have some scrambles in front of the net in which they just couldn't finish. The...

This will be a close game. Last year south beat north 3 times. This year north will win three times. South has decent offensive zone presence but you can pin them down in their own end get shots to the net and their goaltending is not very good. North will turn the puck over and does not move the pu...
