1AA Final Century vs. North: March 6th

Post by gopherhockey21 »

Who you got going to state? If Century plays like they did today against Mayo, this might be the game of the year. This should be a very good game to watch.

I got North 3 Panthers 2. Who ever stays out of the box and converts on opportunities will go on.

I wish one of these teams would be good! Please let section 1AA look good this year at the X. Probably will be North, but if century wants to compete, then they may take the cake.

FUN FACT: nearly all the teams in this conference are some time of cat or dog!
except for Winona and Mayo

Century earned plenty of respect from some Duluth East fans when they came up here and beat the Hounds earlier this season. Gotta pull for (and pick) Century.

Century

Century if playing well with top line and what i saw out there today against Mayo that I think Century will give anyone a test. As we saw with them beating Duluth East. Everyone down south when they saw that in the paper as did I we were shocked. Duluth East Max Tardy and all They will contend I expect a good game on Friday as I will be sitting front row pulling for them to earn another state bid.

For Century the biggest :?: was how solid would their
goaltending be. That has been answered with Sellnow being solid in net.

The team while not spectacular, plays hard, they keep coming at you
and they have some depth.

When they have their scoring chances they will need to keep the Lakeville goalie out of their heads, not get impatient and pick a corner.

Freshman Nate Arentz will continue to carry the LN team to the state tourny. 2 goals vs Farmington, 3 vs South...

How about LN 6 Century 4...Arentz gets 4

they have already beat century earlier this season
century has been playin well lately but if north is on their game on friday I dont think century will be able to play with them

Ok obviously North is gonna take this one easily like that one guy said, look at their strength of schedule, Eden Prairie, Jefferson, and only lost by a few. They have given both those teams a run for their money. One of the reasons is Senior Forward Taylor Saunders. He leads the team in points and is the heart and soul of the Panthers. Arentz is also very good for a freshman but he wouldnt have half of his goals if it werent for Saunders. Thats a true champion right ther. YEEEEEEEEEEEEE

who cares? they didnt beat them did they? and saunders is tied for like 19th in the lake in points....if 1AA doesnt want to be embarrassed lets hope century wins and not a team 8 games under .500

North has been real hot lately and I expect them to be ready to go on Friday night. I got North winning by a goal 4-3 in regulation. Question is, who will start in net for North? Matt Arnst just won the last game but the Lakeville Coach is known for switching it up...

PioneerHockey, you need to get a clue and get some facts. You wish you were 19th in the conference in points because you could never get the puck in the net.

have you looked at the lake conference?...then look at the big 9...i mean come on north would be well above .500 if they played in the big 9

and points has nothing to do with saunders if he plays a good game the team follows

First of all, how are they "hot"? In their last 11 games they are 4-7 with the wins being against Farmington, Rosemount and South twice, the Lakeville Blazing Cats could win those games.

As far as the game vs Century goes. It will be a close game if Century plays like they did against Mayo and they could easily win. These are two pretty even teams although Id give North the upper hand.

So heres a message to the Lakeville North team...spend more time preparing for the game and less time making things like "that you're hot" up and talking yourselves up on a stupid website.

Oh this is rich!!

We actually have real live hockey players... in our presence!!!

Please great HS hockey player.Grace us with your insight before you become like the rest of us on this site... a washed up "has been"... who enjoys poking fun at impressionable young morons like yourselves and gets off to Marny Gellner making small talk with David Fisher during Gopher post game live!!

To all Lakevill North players... I hope you stay on your feet when the blue line approaches.
