Not Edina, no. (That's the youth hockey equivalent of calling someone a Nazi, of course, and therefore the conversation is over. Heh.) But point taken. What you're really saying is that key players will migrate to AA programs, but there was nothing keeping those kids from leaving before for competi...

Names? Associations? Total numbers? Heck, give me a district. I'd take your word for it. But I'm tired of taking your word for it. Mites don't count. If this is an actual thing, then let's get the facts out and let them be known. Until then, it's just hearsay. You provide a name -- say a district d...

I would agree to the idea that AA playing A teams were for the most part not worth the time and money. I can speak to my team and my level for the past two years in D10. We played with this AA vs A system last season as well. On average, in District 10 it will cost the home team over $500 to host t...

I do not think it was as much of a failure as others felt it was. In District 3 the league play was competitive at the A level. The bantam AA teams in District 3 I don't think cared for it very much and it did not make much sense as they destroyed most of the A teams. I think the AA teams may need ...

If Coon Rapids would get some better coaching, they would easily be AA. How nice, you take your children from the CR program, you are relieved of your coaching duties from the program you transfer into (they must have seen the same thing we saw), and you want to rip the coach of the team your son a...

They could have opted down but decided not to. Cottage Grove is one example of a team that waivered down to single A and I'm sure there are a few more Coon Rapids did for obvious reasons. We fair ok against A teams, but playing AA teams are almost pointless. The method in D10 is the usual throw it ...

Re: Minimum time between same day ice times - Who knows this
...Anyone know off hand? VIII. PLAYING RULES L. Team Rest - Teams shall not participate in more than two (2) on-ice activities per day, nor shall they participate in more than one tournament at a time (no overlapping days). On-ice activities include games, exhibition games and/or practices. There s...

What is the Irondale board doing as of today that is only good for a few kids and not for all the kids? They had approached Coon Rapids - then reported to us that Coon Rapids didn't want to work with us. I called a friend who is a board member with the CR program and he read me the minutes from the...

Re: C Bantam Goalie needed at Coon Rapids
News to me! Didn't know he had a 9th grader (goalie) that JUST open enrolled and is transferring to a NON private school. Highly doubt that CRDirector has a 9th grader that plays goalie for CR, unless of course, he is using the new policy that was adapted last year using the 1 time transfer to wher...

Re: C Bantam Goalie needed at Coon Rapids
The way it looks you might want to start recruiting another goalie
The CR Director transfered his son (a bantam goalie) to a private school nearby.

What? No A team? A few years ago their PeeWee A team was top 10. Are you saying they totally dropped the recruiting ball to the point of not even having enough kids to field a Bantam A team? I hope someone is working hard on attracting 5-6 year olds, now , so they can make a comeback otherwise thei...

If the poster is really the coach, which I doubt, he/she sure doesn't have much to say after getting called out. I also don't know why he/she would blatantly lie about what happened this weekend and also about other issues on his/her team. I'm not sure what criteria they are using in that youth ass...

Wasn't Princeton. Not a rumor. From what I understand it was the Coon Rapids team. Coach and players out of control. Apparently not the first time. Really? CR? Looking back 2 years ago this team was on the forum quite frequently in a positive conversation piece, but currently everything has turned ...

Andover-4 Coon Rapids-2 Coon Rapids dominated the entire game and had plenty of opportunities to put this game away early, but could not hit the net. Andover came from behind 2 to 1 with 5 minutes left in the game and scored 2 quick goals and a empty netter Haha r u jokeing? Andover dominated the s...
