We can stop with the cover up or trying to hide what happened comments....... They would have chopped his head off right away, if they had that, to cover themselves. He also wouldn't be wondering WHY on public television. Good point. The point I was trying to make was...unless you have a player on ...

It seems that from the moment this story broke the district and school officials have not handled this situation well, to say the least. What was the purpose of holding a new conference if you are not going to/can't answer 90 percent of the questions asked? Why send Stefano a letter telling him he w...

Re: 6AA

Probably two of the states top three teams here...BSM and Tonka (Roseville is the other)....Will Wayzata, Buffalo, Hopkins (oops), Maple Grove and others be able to play competitively? About two weeks from the start of the season...your thoughts...... A simple answer.... no, they won't. They may no...

5AA Seeding Coon Rapids #1 Anoka #2 Centennial #3 Irondale #4 Blaine #5 Andover #6 Mounds View #7 Champlin Park #8 Spring lake Park-St.Anthony #9 This should be a fun section tournament to watch. I think there is a lot of parity in this section. I think anyone 1-7 could win and it wouldn't surprise...

Seeds for section 6 have been posted. 1. Minnetonka 2. BSM 3. Maple Grove 4. Wayzata 5. Buffalo 7. North Metro 8. Armstrong 9. Cooper Guess I am a bit surprised MG beats out Wayzata for the 3 seed with a losing record when Wayzata has a winning record, same results against teams within the section ...

It'll be interesting to see how they seed the middle of this section, just wondering what the folks here think. On the top it's pretty clear that it'll be: 1. Minnetonka 2. Benilde-St. Margaret's And for the play-in game I believe in all likelihood it will be: 8. Armstrong 9. Cooper It would also a...

We might be getting a little ahead ourselves assuming it will be BSM-Tonka in the final. I see where Hopkins took the Skippers to OT tonight before falling 3-2. When sections come around there are no sure bets. I agree, I was hoping for a little more competition out of teams like North Metro and Ma...

Would be interested in hearing why you think they'll be pretty equal. Benilde lost 6 seniors to graduation, and all of them were experienced and effective. I would think it will be a real challenge to replace them with incoming 9th graders, even if they are very talented 9th graders (and word is th...

Maple Grove 9. North Metro 10. Armstrong 11. Champlin Park Any surprises? North Metro at 9 seems a little surpr...

It looks like Centennial is getting back to their winning ways and looks like Coon Rapids is on a little slide. Rest of the conference seems to be a toss up night in and night out.

I think this conference is going to be very hard to predict. Losts of turnover with coaches and players to graduation as well. At the very least it should make for an interesting race. Here are my picks. 1. Coon Rapids - Bona and a young group of talented players 2. Centennial - depth 3. Elk River -...

Re: Section 6AA, Who wins?

Just curious to see what everyone thinks of this section. Is it Minnetonka? BSM have a strong chance? How far does Hopkins fall? North Metro, Buffalo, others have a chance? Here's how I see it: Minnetonka BSM Buffalo Maple Grove Hopkins Wayzata North Metro Armstrong Cooper Here is my early predicti...

Minnetonka looks to be very good. Benilde might be only team to challenge them. IMO it will be a two team race Tonka and BSM (have added some key pieces, surprise). I would have to agree. I think it will ultimately come down to these 2 teams. I'm sure Hopkins and North Metro will put up a fight, bu...

That would be interesting to see. I would have to guess Dave Palmquist and Vin Paolucci would have to be at the top of the list.

Champ will come from the west metro this year: Minnetonka- Strong senior goalie, solid D, very fast, and they have Ramsey. Edina- Elite level goalie and she is having a great off season with a solid team in front of her plus solid coaching. BSM- Will be a good young team but will have to get by Ton...
