next year?
With such a big difference between open and invite levels, coaches need to be accountable for communication and expectations and taking on kids. If a coach takes a kid at the invite level then he needs to suck it up and fully commit to that kid, even if the kid isn't working out as he wished. Or the...

The clueless expro! 14 skaters but 1 sick and one played for Synergy so 3 of first 5 games played with 12. Ran out of gas, are you kiding? One OT loss to one of your strong starting and finishing teams in a game the Iceman dominated the 2nd period and played very even in the 3rd (came out flat in f...

Re: Easton Cup
I for one am disappointed that the Machine are not playing. Would have LOVED to see them "clean up" Wish the Blades were also playing and would have loved to see them "clean up." Guess we will have to hope Torspo cleans up in their pool! Especially game 1 Thursday! Aren't both t...

Why are you all such Machine haters? They are an awesome team and maybe they just got bored of beating everybody! Maybe they can get more out of a weekend of practice than winning 8-1 or 10-0. Or maybe (I hope not) something happened to someone (an accident or sickness)! Wouldn't that make you feel ...

Coachman, You swore more in a single post than any other poster on this Board. This is a YOUTH hockey forum. There are young lads who visit this Board and you aren't exactly a great role model. I hope you don't use this language on the bench or in the locker room, especially if you're coaching youn...

Can we be realistic for just one moment? Most AAA teams were not created for your son's development. They say they are, that's how they hook you. The fact is they need your son for the team or program to exist, but they may not need to play your son for the team or program to thrive. And make no bo...

Having just completed the boys side AAA run with a 94' son...I have posted this before but as a parent you need to ask the coach or organization leader one question: Is there equal icetime for everyone? At no time should a coach shorten the bench during the summer. PERIOD !! If your kids was accept...

What organization was this ? may be good for the rest of us to know. Word of mouth is powerful and one of the few things we can do to keep organizations honest. The organization itself was good to us, more the coach. When we talked to the president they were unaware and disagreed with what happened...

I have to disagree a little. I think the scrimmages, games and tournaments are an important part of development. It may not be line drills and stick handling type development, but one of the reasons for the hard work in practice is to be able to compete against other teams. Plus the kids love going...

Never expect MUCH development, or ice time out of games and tournaments it's a total waste of resources summer or winter. Teams could get more development playing an older team in house without all of the delays...... No 10 hour drives NEEDED. I have to disagree a little. I think the scrimmages, ga...

Those are some Classic lines! similar to: Ya my kids would have played with the Blades- but I wanted them to go fishing instead. THe Varisty coach wanted my 8th grader to play varsity- but the practices were too long so we passed on it. I just had to chuckle- when the summer hockey links resort to ...

Re: Are ya coming back next year?
[quote="HockeyDad41"]So it's around half way through the summer hockey season and I've started to hear folks talk about whether or not they think it's going the way it should. So my question is: Are you happy with your decision? Feeling like you might have MMade a mistake and could have go...
