So now I'm all excited for this change. When is it coming and how will I know when it gets here. So far all I see is the same old same old. I had the chance to talk with several hockey dads at a practice a few days ago and gave them the sad news that association hockey is dead and the new order is ...

Ill address the scenerios when I have more time and a full size keyboard. Also, my prior response was not directed at you. There are clearly plans to offer higher levels of play, at appropriate ages, for the top players within minnesota. This is my last post on this topic, then I will go away, as I...

Don't you just love it............I have thought this has been a very reasonable discussion up to this point. It's very interesting to me that some find the need to be nasty and launch personal attacks when someone starts to make valid arguments/take the devils advocate approach. Fight fair, if you ...

State your individual unhappy situation and we'll discuss a solution for your particular situation. I live in Hudson Wisconsin I was playing for the Wisconsin fire, but I can’t play there any more. A couple of my friends from Stillwater said they were going to play for the ponies this winter. Can I...

Continue to try and make this about anything else, but in the end you will be wrong. It is about one thing and one thing only. Keeping commitments.

Well I have been having a bit of fun with some of you about how wound up everybody gets about this stuff. So in all honesty, I will share how I really feel: If you are good, you will be found, regardless of the development model you are following. If you possess the talent, drive and passion for th...

North team looks great. Goalie selections interesting, with all the talk about the Duluth East goalies lately on the forum. Overall, looks like an excellent group of goalies.

Outstate must be much different than the suburbs. I am confused at who the AAU will be targeting. I mean if the AAU takes hold in Edina and grabs 3 teams worth of lower A and upper B teams, that team and talent level is going to look very different from the 3 teams from Princetion. The Wisconsin Fi...

Yes but the problem they bring up is that Edina will go on a tear and get all of the top A kids off of all of the top programs and put together a monster team. It is probably right, sort of like the NY Yankees do. This would stop it by not allowing A kids to be skimmed off of programs but opens the...

All this talk of A quality players getting the shaft and having to play B brings up the question - How good is too good? How dominate does a player have to be at the lower level to reason it is better to be the 3rd liner being short shifted at the next higher level? Ohhhh, I don't know. How many B ...

And many of them are association board members. Seriously, though, coach, I agree that one must be careful not to upset the apple cart as there is risk to doing so. It would be nice for those with concerns to be heard rather than brushed away as individuals trying to benefit their kids only or as w...

Use the model that allows the most kids to be involved for the district. USA Hockey and Minnesota Hockey have some work to do when it comes to providing opportunity for high level players at age appropriate levels. Herein lies one of the major problems .... very clearly stated.... in effect you are...

My guess is that 99% of parents, myself included, have no idea what ADM stands for or entails. I can tell you, after being involved in several summer AAA teams for a few seasons, not a weekend goes by that I don't hear parents say, "why can't winter hockey be this fun, or be like this......&quo...

You are right, NPC, about where the movement is going to catch hold. Just look at the explosion of the Northland Hockey group's AAA teams in just the last year. Those aren't the exceptional players, generally speaking, but there sure are a lot of them that want to play and get better over the summer...

There needs to be an A, B, and C level and teams need to be slotted into them and then need to be moved up or down to fit. Then it wouldn't be AAA. Who cares what it is called. Contrary to the know-it-all's on here, parents aren't throwing open their check books so their kid can be called "AAA...

Spoke to someone who is there - it is true they won 32 - 0. It is rumored they were trying to get a hat trick for every player on the team.

Anyway, I still think their stats keeping skills stink. Don't believe everything you read.

Who knows if the stats are correct. These tournaments are notoriously bad at keeping accurate stats. Whether or not it is true in this particular case, I personally wish they would just stop publishing them if they can't get them right.
