Is Jake supposed to be happy about losing in the state championship? Give the kid a break, he wanted to win and came up short, and was disappointed. Maybe your kid would be fine with a second place finish, but maybe Jake had higher hopes. This kid has got a lot of potential and as a Hill fan I sure...

C'mon Hill...I get it. You lost but you got to the big dance. Guentzel taking off his medal as he skated back to the group was completely disrespectful and no one coming forward to get the trophy.....really. I guess that's what you get when you put together a team of "superstars" who can't...

I'm a hard core hockey guy. Kid will play if he wants and I can possibly make it happen, regardless of rules.... My problem is what the non hard core parents who never played think. So in the first year of travel hockey they should play as many travel games as bananas or what? The financial and tim...

The SEC is in, I believe, three AA sections. How many of those sections they win, and how well those section champions do at the X will determine how much respect they are due. Knocking off a #2 seed in the first round is a nice upset. But some #2 seeds are better than others. I don't believe AV ca...

Re: Down Year For The SEC?

Much maligned SEC this year has sprung 2 upsets in sectional play. Under .500 Forest Lake topples Grand Rapids and now bottom feeder EastRidge takes out #2 seed Apple Valley. I don't think people give the SEC teams enough credit, it's usually not pretty hockey, but most of the teams play extremely ...

#5 Park 5 #4 Eastview 0 And before somebody else says "and the path gets even easier for Eagan, note that there really wasn't a whole lot of difference between the #2 to #6 seeds in 3AA. Congrats to the SEC teams. ...and why would Apple Valley have been much of a threat to Eagan when they were...

I think it's more of a combination of the recruiting of the physical specimens from nearby youth programs along with the hiring of the psychologists that control the mental portion of these young lads to perform  That's all great, but that's not what the question was. The question was what tea...

Re: Denial?

If the best you can say is that your team loses games to good teams closely, you're the denial expert. A lot of teams do that--like Superior. Actually winning is another thing. And counting division one players does not make a great team. Those players have to produce under big game pressure, not j...

The fourth goal was an empty net in the last minute of the game. Much closer than the 4-2 score sounds. WBL had 2 major penalties. Could've/should've had at least 2 more. It was not a gimme game for 'da Bears by any means....
