Karma?

LOL!!! Well, to be brutally honest and fair, I can remember being very upset myself when I felt the Indians (GR) did not get their deserved credit when the rankings came out, so I can understand the frustration of the East fans when polls had them at #2 for so long. At lest the polls corrected thems...

Best Weekend

I'm a 1976 grad of Grand Rapids High School, now live in Florida. And every year I still watch and keep up with state tournament. High School hockey is my fondest memories of high school. The weekend I spent in St. Paul to watch the Indians repeat as state champions was the best time ever. Even had ...

Privates to AA

I've always agreed with this. Even here in Florida this happens. My solution? Since a Private School can basically hand pick their athletes, then that school should play in the highest class in their location. Just seems to make sense to me.

Karma?

I posted about a week ago about the strong field in the state tournament (15 of 16 #1 seeds from sectionals) and posted that Minnetonka was top ranked in the state (from information I had living here in Florida). I was immediately bombarded by East fans with (sometimes rude) replies about DE being #...

That's OK Easton. I appreciate any facts you can bring my way. But as I said, the purpose of my post kinda took a back road. The fact that 15 #1 seeds out of a possible 16 made the tournament. That's gotta be a record.

Okay people, calm down. I'm from Florida and can only follow hockey through websites. It would be hard to argue the fact that the Greyhounds are #1 except that not only did they lose to Minnetonka, but lost HANDILY. Of course, that could be a fluke. Actually I'm from Grand Rapids and my team got be...

Strong Field

This year's boys hockey tournament fields quite possibly the strongest in the history of the tournament. 15 of the 16 teams were seeded #1 in their section. Ironically, the only #1 seed not to win their section and advance to state - the state's top ranked team, Minnetonka.
