The Wild executed like peewees. Giving up a shorty. Failing to close on the late PP. Coyle getting man handled and turning it over cleans instead of winning the battle and getting it deep. Yes the refs could have bailed them out, but good teams don't leave it to chance. Hopefully the show up in game...

If the sport were BB or FB, the NCAA would figure out a to keep MJ kids eligible. The only losers in the college vs. majors standoff is the kids, because their development choices are rationed due to some old rules. The NCAA should allow kids who don't accept payment to play anywhere until they fini...

It appears Virginia fields one team playing at the A level. Highland and Tartan whom they lost to in regions each field four teams, with the highest being the A level.

I'm guessing they should direct their anger at their district. The AA regions stayed true north, why sell out the lower levels.

Re: Sorry, but I am correct

Since when did MN stop being part of Little League? http://www.littleleague.org/worldseries/series/llbb/qualify/midwest.htm If you look at the attached link you will clearly see that Coon Rapids/Andover was in the midwest regional to go to the Little League World Series. So I am pretty sure they pa...

I'm pretty sure the gist of it is that a 4yr Ivy league education at $40-$50K is better than a free degree many places. It could be argued forever.

I call six PW teams at AA, B1, B2, C, C, C sandbagging.

Anything else is open for interpretation.

Thanksgiving weekend in Cottage Grove. 16 teams, I think 10 get four games.

Eagan Meltdown - Up to sixteen teams, with some getting four games. I think is during winter vacation.

Re: supplemental peewee hockey

... in a large association with AA, A and 2 b1 teams.. Edina wasn't even that large in PW last year. :) Take over the team parent role, and sell your son's team on the benefits of extra ice time. Be creative and try to schedule a bunch of extra home and home games. Always have your team prepared to...

Putting a high price out there is the American way. Many associations pay for two to four tourneys per team. There is no incentive for any team to look for discounts when the association is buying. If your not a top five team at your level, when spending additional parents money your crazy not to lo...

This year's first-year bantams will have had no previous MN hockey checking experience. It'll be interesting to see the number and severity of injuries in bantam hockey this year - not at the AA, A, or B1 level in the metro where many (or most) of those kids have learned to check and receive a chec...

Since 2005 we have Hill, Holy Angels, Benilde, and Cretin win AA titles. STA will join them shortly. I guess we will have to wait for a tourney with: 1 Lakeville 2 Holy Angels 3 STA 4 Hill 5 Breck 6 Benilde 7 Marshall 8 Moorhead before these teams are put in their own tourney again. Kicking them all...

I prefer less privates in AA. No way do I watch as much tourney with Hill/Benilde/StThomas in it every year. Honestly people have been reduced to rooting for Edina.

I'd love to have three tourneys. Let the AA and Private champs play a week later. Or not.

D6 is a tough place even at the B2 level. Many large 4+ team programs start B2 at the bottom half of tryout scores. Several D6 programs sprinkle in a full teams (or two) worth of top half tryout scores players onto their B2 teams. Meanwhile having the luxury of multiple C level teams. Yeah it makes ...
