Re: who will be transferring schools next year?

sickofnoknowledge21
After your post I had to go back and try to figure out what all the flap has been about my posts. Yes the MAN is aware that I post but I don't believe I have ever posted and made it sound like I was responding on an official basis...that is until you called me on my recent pos...

Re: The rule.....

Hockeydad...your last paragraph struck a nerve...if I remember correctly, many years ago a very good Apple Valley team had to forfeit 8 or 10 games (maybe more) because of a transfer SNAFU. I think they actually made it through to the State tournament with a really misleading record. So I'm guessing...

Re: Transfer rules

Thanks neutralzonetrapper...good reference. Hockeydad you are correct Bylaw 111.00 of the MSHSL handbook clearly states that a student is allowed one "free" transfer and unless he moves his residence he would be ineligible for Varsity play for "EVERY" sport he wishes to participa...

Re: transfer

I'm not sure of all the circumstances, but there's no way Beggs is transferring without being eligible to play hockey in his senior year. Maybe his family moved. There's a thread out there somewhere on what the rules are regarding transfers. I was under the same understanding that you just stated bu...

Re: beggs

Actually Beggs played the last 2 years at Rosemount as a transfer from Lakeville. I believe he actually lives within the Apple Valley boundary and will not have to sit out at all. I will be sad to see Beggs leave, but he may have been number 2 guy coming into the season this year. Percy was the main...

Re: Bantam A vs. High School?

As a high school coach and also a parent of 4 kids who all played youth and high school hockey, I am once again torn between the coach/parent on this issue. My kids all played their two years of Bantams and 3 years of High School. Worked out great for them. As a parent it was tough on the budget (al...

Re: USA Hockey Love it, Hate it or put up with it?

I wholeheartedly agree that USA Hockey is suffocating the MN associations. As a veteran coach for more years then I care to mention I have seen Minnesota Youth Hockey (the team kind we used to play in the 50s thru 80s) degrade to the ind...
