Roughly 10% turnover. Good work parents! Lets see if we can get that up to 25% in the near future. The more coaches that are chased out, the more green and underqualified the candidates become. Kind of a downward spiral........ I'd say its looking pretty good thus far. Last year there were 23 chang...

Blades are in A

I see the points of the poster above. Now for the interesting question. How did the Blades end up in class A? What makes their Coop different from all the others that they get to take their extra large enrollment and head down to class A. I totally agree with esox101 that they are now playing level ...

No domino

Interesting. If Roseau moves back to AA, will there be any kind of domino effect to move other teams around to balance things out? Roseau was put back into 8AA. But, there was no domino effect. I'm sure Buffalo remains ecstatic about this. However, Buffalo was moved into 8AA to make 8 teams since R...

Rocketwrister wrote:I believe that Princeton also moved into section 7AA? Is that a enrollment move, or did Princeton "opt up"?
Enrollment for Princeton/Becker/Big Lake adds up to about 2500. I'm guessing its enrollment.

Good deal for Buffalo. Tough for SLP to be moved to 6AA. Not much movement anywhere else, it seems. I realize that there are section assignment rules, but this is just an excuse to not improve things and ensure that many high quality teams don't make it to State and we have a lower quality State to...

Re: Section Assignments

The new competitive sections for the 2013-2014, 2014-2015 school years have been published: http://mshsl.org/mshsl/competitiveSectionsone3.asp I didn't go through all sections yet but I did see a few interesting changes for Girls Hockey. From the list it appears that Roseau isn't opting up anymore....

With all the talk about Oliver being such a great D coach, you would think he would have prepared more than just 2 sets of D to be played. Also, why does he continue to allow certain D to be in the corner or behind the net at the same time? This has been a problem for them the whole year but no one...

Section Assignments

Sunday, March 10th, the section assignments will be out for the next two years. Does anyone expect any major changes? Is anyone opting up to AA or heading back down to A that will shake things up?

I suspect things will look the same, perhaps a minor change here or there.

What a stupid question your kid must have not gotten enough playing time this year. Live your own life not through your kid. Actually, quit the opposite of what you are assuming. Most people I speak with seem to be displeased with their coaches and was just wondering if it is a pervasive feeling. B...

Seeds

Seeds came in for 8AA yesterday - I think this was the last section. 1 - North Wright County 2 - Roseau 3 - Sartell/Sauk Rapids 4 - Bemidji 5 - St. Cloud 6 - River Lakes 7 - Moorhead 8 - Brainerd/Little Falls These matched QRF, EXCEPT for the 4-5 seeds. I find it interesting that Bemidji ended up ah...

Wont be long and this program will be on the decline since coach will probably move on and recruiting will stop. Probably will pick up on th HS boys side then. Just want to point out that I never referred to Warroad as being "class less" - in quoting what I had posted earlier hometown war...

Those are some nice rosters. Did the two Minnesota teams play? Who won that game and the tournament? At the bottom of that link is a word doc of all the results except the final game. Seniors beat the Juniors 4-3. Wisco beat the seniors in 4-2. Juniors tied Wisco 3-3. Seniors and Wisco played for t...

Thanks. I did not know that. I wish the MGHCA did a better job of rosters, stats and scores on the girls side. Good information on the girls hub can be important to the players hoping to play college hockey. Any schedule or rosters for the two teams? http://www.mngirlshockeyhub.com/page/show/508380...

The info. is on the MN Hockey website. http://www.minnesotahockey.org/page/show/86082-reebok-high-performance Here's the link for the girls, but no info yet, and lo...

I heard this the other day, it was a pretty solid source. Nice to see another outstate player go D1.

To Penn State:

Kendra Rasmussen - F - Sartell/Sauk Rapids - Sartell H.S.
