I'm not hostile at all. I have no horse in the Edina race or Giles for that matter. People will always question a high school coaches pick. Only they know the method to their madness. I did read your posts with the understanding that you were concerned on Giles picks because you did not see two play...

Rich Clarke For someone who doesn't seem to know a thing on Bishop and Luther, you seem to know a heck of a lot on all the other Edina players and where they played Bantams (A or AA) two years ago and where they are now!! Giles doesn't care if you made AA as a first year or not. I wouldn't question ...

I would have liked to see them win but after watching them in the section final against Hill, I knew they were not that great. Too weak of a schedule and lack of overall team speed. Benson in goal was best part of the team. Congrats to the ponies for giving it their all.

At both games last night and the student section and fan base for EP was dismal. For a school that size it was pathetic. Wayzata was better but not by much. The tournament needs the likes of an Edina, Hill Murray, Benilde. At least the community of Edina fills the stands. A different environment thi...

I couldn't agree more. The most undisciplined team I've seen. They take way too many penalties at the worst possible times. Their defense pinch way too much leaving them vulnerable to 2 on 1's. They look like they don't care and their goalie is hung out to dry often. It all comes down to coaching. O...

Gopher Blog what can you say about your gophers this year? Looks like it might be a long season. Frustration will start setting in and I predict it wil only get worse. Kloos is quoted in Star Tribune as saying he has "never been in this position before." Lucia's recent committs are setting...

Yea but you see most of the UND players played a minimum of two years in the USHL/BCHL with some even playing three. Poganski is only one who played one year USHL. So they may recruit some younger players but they are not in a hurry to get there. A big difference between a 1996 birth year like Colli...

Gophers need to stop committing Freshman and Sophmores in high school. I've said it before and I will stand by it now, they will never win the big one with a young team. Don goes after the super skilled superstar as a sophmore, makes them leave their senior year early and then joins the team as a tr...

What a colossal collapse! Sta was never in control of the game. Three early goals to take a 3-0 lead was deceiving. Duluth out shot them from the beginning of the game. Sta had way too many turnovers. The defense has been a bit if their arch illies's heel all year. These two teams played each other ...

This debate is getting old and will go on until the end of time. Power house metro schools do not have to "recruit", they self recruit because little johnny wants to play for a great program and will find a way to go to a Edina or Eden Prairie, etc. . This year four superstar peewees moved...

It's not about practicing on big ice once or twice before games. It's about teams that are very skilled and fast have the advantage on larger, more open ice. I believe Edina would have still beaten Burnsville but the score would have been narrower on regular ice. You can't give a team like Edina wit...

This game is ridiculous. Sections need to be reassigned. Also, get rid of Mariucci as the venue. The big ice will only help Edina even more and they don't need help. Looks like they are on their way to a three peat.

Re: Morons

Hockey is a choice: are you an attorney? I would challenge that many of you know very little about academia, and this is why you are on here arguing about children. I am not a huge sports fan. However, I have a child at edina high school, who told me about a new kid not being treated very well........

Well if Edina has that many D1 and possibly more this year, then I am going with Edina with a three-peat this year at winning state. I don't see any other team besides Lakeville that will even give them a game. Be prepared for another Hornet state champion.
