It is Monday on tournament week and no schedule yet for 2003 Elite level. C'mon it is not that hard.... that is unless you are trying to make the easiest path for the team that skates at "Bush League Rd" UNREAL OR, if you go to the Mn Made website, click "tournaments" tab and th...

Have taken the '03 Girls Machine up there and will again this year. Very well run event. Mudrak and his group do a really nice job of organizing the event and it is cheap (comparitively speaking) at $1200 a team. As was mentioned, Duluth is a great area, 2 quick hours up 35, and the rinks that are u...

Just for updating purposes, Maple Grove beat Moorhead last night 4-3 and the Sugarkings beat Sibley 2-1. The website hasn't been changed yet to include the late games from Friday. Also, it was -19 this morning when the boys boarded the bus for their final pool play game. Does anyone know if the Flor...

Just checking: on your post you list a U10 division, but on the website, you can only register for 12, 14, 16 or 19? Thanks,

Just as an fyi, the age classification for the 'Bou has been changed back to what it was all along. U10s are now 02s and 03s. Posted on their site a little while ago. This was the right move by the tournament, which i still say is one of the better run events during the spring/summer season. • U19 G...

This whole saga is three and a half steps past comical. As a coach of a team in the U10 level of the 'Bou, i can say that i was never contacted about the switching of age classifications. Just another reason why the girls side of summer hockey should go to straight birth years like the boys do it. L...

Huskies: there was a bit of sarcasm entwined with my post. Make no mistake, if what is being posted here is accurate, it's a few steps past pathetic on the program's part. What i was referring to was that if they had a handful of 01s on the ice when we played them in the AAA, i can feel even better ...

fascinating stuff. I am a little torn on this one. I coach the '03 Orange and we lost to the "U10" Chill 4-1 in the semifinals of the AAA Independent Classic a month ago, depsite the fact we outshot them 31-9. So, am i supposed to be upset that we lost to a team that reportedly has illegal...

Snyper, what I am confused about is that you posted that 2-3 kids have to sit each game. Which kids, exactly, are you referring too? And you also posted a question asking about kids sitting so others on the "bigger roster can suit up". What is the bigger roster you are referring to?

Your dodging the question. 2-3 other kids sit out each game as only so many can sit/fit on the bench/game roster. The question again is what was your attitude when it was your sons rotation not to play in a particular game entirely?
Before this season started, it was made clear that a couple...

I'll bite on this one. In theory, it's smart to roll four lines if the goal is to beat a good opponent that has only three lines (or even two in some of these summer tourneys). In practice, though, these games are often closely contested and as the game goes on the bench gets shorter and shorter. S...

Can you look in the mirror and say when your son doesn't get as many shifts as another or sits the game out entirely to allow for the others on the bigger roster to suit up - you don't become upset?
Not sure what you mean. Dylan has been with Keith for the past 4+ years and I am not aware of...

Bluewhite: I'm gonna disagree with you on your assessment. Some kids do play more than others; some kids are on the powerplay; some kids are on the penalty kill. But, having watched this team win in Winnipeg the last three years I can tell you that by having a big roster and rolling 4 lines is one o...
