Sats81, you are correct on Shawn Roed's older Brother Peter going the WHL route. He was also a very good HS player at WBL. If anyone remembers, Shawn Roed scored an Game Winner his freshman year to knock off a HEAVILY favored Hill Murray team in section game. I still remember watching that game a fe...

I am not determining anything. I made a simple comment about how he isnt NHL bound. If that is so outlandish, I guess I apologize. And by the way, I would LOVE to eat crow on that comment. As a fan of his, Wahlin making it to the NHL would be awesome, and quite the achievement. Just an opinion, that...

It wasnt A game, it was many big games. This game, last year section final, and many other big games this year. He piled up points against the lower tier competition, but did not excel nearly as well against the top teams (with the exception of the HM game this year) No one is saying he cannot move ...

I understand his brother also plays there, but why must he play juniors before going to UMASS at all?

The knock on him was dissapearing in big games, why not shed that next year as a Sr?

Maybe he truly wants to go play USHL, and all the "being forced to go" is just hearsay.

Looks like Jake Wahlin is going to go out the same way that Jake Hansen did. Leaving after Jr. year to jump to juniors, all while being invisible in their last HS game. At least Hansen jumped to USHL so he could play for the Maroon and Gold. Why Wahlin is going to jump, all so he can play at big bad...

Alcloseshaver, Yes, I did see Bonin play, but I was about 5 years old, so I couldnt truly appreciate how good he really was. But post Bonin, I would put Wahlin over anyone else I have seen at WBL, for scoring ability. Hambly was maybe the most dominant overall player I have seen play at WBL, but obv...

And can we stop the Gorman bashing....
The game could have been 3 or 4-1 rather than a 2-1 OT loss.

He kept them close, while the rest of the team seemed to be looking forward to the Pioneers. Brutal outcome to a solid season.

I have no idea how much Sager is to blame for this one since I was listening on radio rather than watching, but since Goldfishdude is gone, FIRE SAGER! But in reality, I think it was the team that let down last night, not coaching. They were flat throughout, and didnt deserve it. Friday night will b...

Hill isnt even all that great this year.
Sparlimb, I would be worried about getting bounced by Roseville in the 4AA semis before looking at state opponents.

Roseville 4 HM 3, due to Slattery being lazy as usual, and the rest of the team sleepwalking.

I have an idea, 'St.Paul', dont watch it if you dont wanna see your mighty Pioneers fall in the '11 game.

HM only wishes they had the support of the school and the community that WBL does, HORN included....oh wait..what community?

Awesome way to break the winless streak for WBL.
That group of seniors would not be denied.

Full disclosure, I am a wbl fan, and hermantown did carry the play majority of the game. Gorman was fantastic, and wahlin was wahlin. The score did not do the game justice. But a win is a win....something I would love to see in late february against the pioneers.

I feel bad for his teammates. Definately a "me" move by this kid. How do his parents justify the quitting on his team? That is the lesson being instilled? I guess each parent does so differently.... Who know, I wouldn"t be suprised if mom and dad also were thinking he "didn't get...

WBMD-Do you honestly only post negative things on this board about WBL?

I have only read posts from you that involve WBL, and they are always negative, and this has been going on for years.

Whats your deal?

It has been a few years, but don't forget, a few of the years HM beat WBL in the section finals, WBL outplayed Hill. Nick Larson's Sr. year for HM, WBL dominated play, while the goaltending for WBL cost them the game. The last few years, sure HM has dominated the play with a much more skilled team, ...

I got to braemar early, and caught some jv action. With how bad wbl is after wahlins line offensivley, how is #13 for wbl not skating varsity? Should be playing on the varsity second line. As for the game, edina was better in every aspect. Talent, spacing and positioning, coaching and finishing. Wbl...
