Re: Program Integrity
I believe both Hill and Cretin have a zero tolerance in sports "if you get a minor in season" you are off the team for the rest of the season - this is what was enforced - players & their parents sign a code of conduct to understand and accept these terms. You are correct about the &q...

My list is off the top of my head. (Also I listed Daggit as a F when she is definately a D-- my apologies to the unheralded defenders ). I can see where the confusion comes from. Watching Park I wasn't sure what position she played either. Park listed her and played her at D for the first 3-4...

RE: Players stats
Jet another site to add information  . I enter data for our HS team and have chosen to only use the MGHCA site. Last year there were 4 or 5 different sites that I updated and decided that the additional 2 hours of work each night after the hockey games to enter both the Home and Away stats was...

Where is GHSHOCKEYFAN
I can confirm that ghs is "ok". Although "ok" is a relative term.
I just saw ghs a week or so ago at a scrimmage. I am sure ghs is busy with the HS season just under way.

MNHockeyFan Posted: 08 Sep 2007 18:06 Post subject: I agree with everything you say above, but would just point out that Wendell and Darwitz, and others to a lesser degree, were totally dominant at the high school level, yet somehow managed to develop into very effective team players both in colleg...

Hux Posted: 08 Sep 2007 14:13 Post subject: Then in answer to your question, NO. If you already have one team it should stay that way to ensure that there isn't a watering down. I agree with what you have stated, however we already have this situation with HS hockey (watered down teams). What are y...

Thanks for your post. The problem that I see is the depth of talent for most HS teams. Not that the players are territble, however I think the 120 or so going DI were spread pretty thin around the state. You also have HS coaches that may not have the knowledge to really teach the game. The coaching ...

Jr Elite League for Women?
Do you think a Jr Women's league should be established for women hockey players that plan to play DI/DIII hockey? Maybe just for incoming Seniors? Juniors? Spent a lot of time watching hockey during the NAHA tournament. One thing I noticed that stood out from other entrants (Little Cesears, NAHA, St...

I was just able to pull stats for the games played thus far. When you go to the USA Hockey site, go to the Schedule tab for the Girls camp. You will see all of the games listed. Choose stats after the games that have been played and it will display the goals, assists, penalties and goalie stats. Hop...

Your right, girls hockey has come so far since it's inception and maybe Joan and her friends are the best way to pick a team.... It should probably be made clear that it's not technically Joan and her friends that are picking the team, just making sure they have qualified evaluators. In the four ye...

I believe the grading was done pretty good this year. Of course you'll always have girls that belong be left out. If you attended these phases you'd know that it is very hard to limit your picks to 16 or 17 as after a few no brainers I feel the next 25 could go any/either way..... I also concur tha...

I thought I would add a brief comment to this topic. My daughter's team played EP last night and I didn't see anything but fair play. We came from the southeast side of St Paul and likely EP wouldn't see us again, so they could have beat up on us if they were that kind of team. EP is a great skating...

Two or Three Sport Athletes
My daughter is currently playing in the elite league that Schmigdal has set up, using some of the White Cap players as coaches. They started out being strict about missing any practices or games. Because a lot of the players are student athletes, they did back down if a reason for missing was ACT's,...

Anyone watch any of the games at Fogerty Arena. What do the teams look like? I have watched several of the games and it is a little hard to gauge what the "teams" look like. I know Hill-Murray split their team in two and split the games between the squads. I also know that Holy Angels had...

Rochester NDP - July 2006
With one game still to post, I see both Komarek and Feste in the top ten point getters and Grogan and Muske listed as the top two goalies. Great showing for these players.
