Mayasich

You have to remember he had those points with 12 min run time periods. Like Maroosh (Mariucci) said, "Words are inadequate, He was a bigger, faster, stronger, backchecking Wayne Gretzky!"

Girls Section game, Women's College game or even the Whitecaps!! There were options! There are lots of options, however the I believe the outdoor element brings in more than the average "Hockey" fan...FSN could run the outdoor MPLS/St.Paul game?...FSN did a nice job with the Grnd Rpds/Bla...

FSN

The problem with Hockey Day in MN is it takes place the 1st weekend in Feb. The boys are in regular season play & the girls are in Section Play..Hard to schedule a girls outdoor game for sections when you have no idea of who's playing who..Maybe MN hockey & FSN can move the dates up a bit &a...

Torrie Schelafoe

Torrie is a great example of the direction girls hockey is headed..."What are you doing when you DON'T have the puck" Torrie scores, makes plays both offensive & defensive...Most important is she is a wonderful young lady with a bright future!

Great idea

This is a great idea...There have been many post grad. Kids on the Thoroughbred's....To make this team more than a "Post Grad" & apply the Thoroughbred model would take an act of God with MN Hockey. Girls hockey has grown to the point where more than just prep options should be availab...

Great Skate, Light, comfortable & Flexible. In the early stages the glue that easton used was defective, the fiber would buckle from moisture & normal wear. As of late last summer August 'ish, they have a new glue that has held up well. As far as the toe guard, the cloth that runs on the toe...

BAGEL

The "BAGEL" league..Love the name...

This looks great, with teams such as these, east coast/Canada travel seem unnecessary.

Are there any MN Hockey hangups that prevent crossover play with the T-Breds/CODP?

FALL LEAGUES

Fall League Pro's & Con's. Options, CODP, O/S, Showcase. What would you chose & why? i.e. cost value, competition, organization, time conflicts etc.

Great list

Great list of girls, would have like to seen Lauren Zrust on U-18 to see how she puts the puck away in international comp. Not knocking anyone on the list JMHO I know the game is not ALL about goals, but the kid seems to find the net in every game..

2 High School teams in the U-19 Tier I? Ouch, Good teams but not AAA U-19 good...I would expect this to change as well to keep the integrity of the tourney.

2 Nations

Did the Canadian teams play games this past weekend too against the other canadian teams? And if so what were the results of those games. They would be useful in the standings I assume. Is it a balanced schedule, or will certain teams get more games opportunity for points? Not sure how this is addr...

US Games

Next weekend should provide some more great hockey from this league. The US teams battle each other! The Saints look to be the dominate US team, but should the Extreme roster all show, that could change.

"Hats Off" to the group that put this league together![/quote]

I agree that ghshockeyfan is really the key to this forum; he asks questions, responds to others, generates good discussion threads, presents stuff from a coach's perspective, and tries to be as rational and reasonable as possible in all discussions! I personally really appreciate his contributions...

North Metro-0 Blaine-1

Great goal tending on both sides, As expected Ashley Nixon played great. Also, North Metros 8th grader Kayla Kreuter played with the poise of an upper classmen. The lone 1st period goal by 9th grader Megan Steinmetz turned out to be the game winner. Great game, fast end to end...

Blaine out shot WBL 29-13 but Blaine had several bad "D-Give aways" that led to break aways & odd man rushes & point blank shots. Lots of credit to the WBL goalie, she had a great game.

Blaine beat EP

Blaine beat EP 2-1, Elk River 4-0, Shakopee 6 or 7 -0...Nixon looked great!, They have 2 young/fast lines that can put the puck away & 2-3 strong D. As mentioned, these are just scrimmages....But Blaine sure played well!, only 1 goal against in 3 scrimmages says alot...
