Jr. Tryout Opps
Yes, the teams depend on these tryouts for income however, there are benefits to the player as well. To perform in the camp, you get ice time to demonstrate your skill set and compare yourself to others at the next level. This allows you to identify your strengths and weaknesses. This applies partic...

Selection Process
EastonStealth: The selection process is NOT by the U of M staff only. Last year it was explained to me by a Gophers coach that because of the NCAA rules, they were no longer able to select alone. There are OTHERS that participate in the selection process. Good luck to ALL that participate, as Model ...

Top 5 Tenders
After observing HS and OTHER Elite play over the last couple of years I would rank as follows; 1.) Reid Ellingson - FB Award and consistent high level play 1.) Mark Guggenberger - raw talent! 3.) Hakan Yumusaklar = .915 average SOG per game 37.68 . Great quickness, angles, and upside! Interesting to...

Who gets the nod tonight?
Will it be McHugh and or Mogren? Both tenders are playing very well this year. When McHugh was a sophomore, he seemed to be the go to guy and he was recommended and played in 2005 Model Camp. Furthermore, he played AHA to a 1-1 tie. Mogren has been seeing the majority of the time in nets thereafter ...

AHA vs Cent.
A Centennial win versus loss will depend on what game Hanna brings tonight and their continued strong defensive play (very physical)! He needs to step up to the plate and earn some of the accolades that he has been given. One year of HS hockey, splitting time with Schriener, performing at a 92% save...

In your face attitude
Hey Lundy:
What, you only like the south of the boarder folks, as we the USA finance this great game? Learn some humbleness while chatting on the MN HSHF, eh!
Regards,

Blaine
Anyone:
Is Schwartz factually attending Blaine? Also, enlighten me about Blaine's defense?
Thanks,

Again I will ask, why do you believe that Schwartz will have to sit out for 1/2 of the year?

SF - Schwartz
B_T:
Why would Schwartz have to sit 1/2 of the season? I know that he was accepted and playing with BSM this summer, therefore I thought that he was attending BSM. If he is at Blaine, is this not his one transfer? If so, why would he have to sit out?

NWSC Goalies
Big_Thurst: FYI, based upon the 05/06 performances of last years HS hockey season, the following ranking is according to save % data retrieved via the Mpls Star and Tribune. 1. Hanna 2. Siebert 3. Kellogg 3. Langseth 3. Schwartz (did not play in the NWSC in 05/06) 6. Gaetz 7. Eason Otherwise, find f...

BT: First and foremost, I did NOT question TS being a top 10! I said, "Top 5 is pushing it". TS may wind up a top 5, depending on his performance in EL1 2006 and his 2nd year of HS hockey. Also note, I wrote about Alex Langseth as being a fine tender as well in my (mnhockey39) past posting...

Let me give you something t...

Whoa!! All I said was "Top 5 is pushing it". Real Deal: Know your facts otherwise, you will continue to lose creditability. I have written about many tenders over the last two years accordingly. I state the facts about tenders who perform and particular, consistently in multiple events. Se...

Siebert a Top 5 in the State??????
Big_Thurst: Top 5 is pushing it! One year of HS hockey with a .901 save % seeing 19 average SOG per game (lowest in the NWSC) in front of a defensive minded team with a defense that will only get better than last year (in which was a very solid defense last year). Yes, he received an automatic bid i...

Looks good, except you should replace Brainerd with Andover or Forest Lake. Andover has a good returning goalie, with a solid 1st line. Forest Lake has a great returning 1st line, with 2 good Dmen.
