Let's not get nuts here Blue&Gold, both very good but can't compete with the names on that list.

Hess is a big, good athletic goalie from SCC. But where are his D1 offers? The majority of the goalies on this list will get D1 looks for sure. Lochner is a good goalie, as well. But same comments for Lochner that go for Hess.

Ellingson is ranked 18th in North America for draft eligible players. Anybody know anything about the Guggenberger kid for Richfield. He is ranked right behind Reid.

Derrick Cashetta -Edina, a 1.7 goals against, a 91% save percentage, If you say his team is just amazing, your right, but that can be hard for a goalie. When your teams in the opposite zone for 75% of the game, you tend to lose focus but not this kid, he stays in the game and keeps his team in every game. Look at the teams he's beaten so far this year, Century 5-1, CD-H 5-1, BSM 3-1, STA 4-3, EP 5-4, GR 4-3, CD-H again 4-2, and Burnsville 3-2. I'd say that's a pretty impressive resume

that is impressive, however, you have goalies on the list that are posting save % in the 93 percentile playingthe same type of competition with a less than stellar team in front of them..

I'm gonna say its either Hjelle or Yumasakler. They both face more shots than anyone on that list.

What about the kid from Duluth Central? Just like the kid from Richfield he's not on a good team, but that doesn't mean that he isn't good. Has anyone seen him play on a summer team or something with good teammates?

ellingson. this guy is amazing. i saw him in the elite league. one thing that may hurt him in college is that is hes not very big. college goalies need to have a little bit of size

Size in D1 hockey is not always a factor...look at St. Cloud State. Bobby Goepfert is 5'8" (giving him the benefit of the doubt) and maybe weighs 160 pounds soaking wet.

The poster who said there are no D1 offers to the goalies on the list I believe is correct. One rarely hears of a goaltender committment to a college before the end of their senior year, unless of course, they left high school early to play juniors.

If the Gophers are really talking to Ben Haus, I would suspect that is all it is...talking. I don't see the magic in his play, though in all honesty I have not seen him play during this season yet. Has he improved dramatically? I don't see him becoming another Briggs, who has set a new bar that must be reached in Gopher hockey for goalies.

Could Caschetta be considered a top 3 goalie NOW after all his success? I think so...

it certainly helps to be a bigger goalie. i dont think ellingson has/will have bobby goepfert's talents and skills.
