I haven't heard on the final. Hopefully up north. Great afternnoon of hockey at MARS. It is always great when they do back to back games and the place was packed. 2 excellent games. GRG vs Cambridge was a good game. Cambridge gave the Lightning a bit of a scare with an early lead but GRG kept coming...

Yeah, i was there, it was definatly one of the best if not maybe the best game i have ever seen, at least in person. No disrespect but I would have a hard time calling it one of the best games I have ever seen. I think we have all seen some unbelievable games from area teams over the past 10-15 yea...

I was at the game and Cooperall gives a pretty good assessment of the game. I thought the game was quite even through two periods and in fact the shots were something like 25-24 at the end of two. Both teams had numerous quality chances in the first two periods and both tenders played very well. If ...

Minnesota is a much less expensive state to play hockey, whether at the youth or varsity level. I know there are exceptions but in general that is the case. Many youth programs still use some degree of outdoor ice, and this helps keep cost down. ALso, many of the travel programs in MN are better abl...

I have seen most of the 7AA teams once and some twice now. My early season impressions are: Cloquet is the team to beat. They have a solid team and great goaltending. Its their goaltending that may make the difference come playoffs. Forest Lake I would not underestimate. They're a solid team and ver...

Interesting outcome on the Cloquet-East game. Judging from scores that I have seen from East, GRG, Cloquet, PHM, Hibbing, etc., there may be more parity in the area and in 7AA then many realize.

Did I see where the Duluth team beat Hibbing 3-2 or something like that. Anyone at that game.

Re: Silver Bay
Boy I was shocked to see the score for Blake vs. Silver Bay. I thought Silver Bay was going to make a run through some tough competition this year. Also Proctor vs. Forest Lake. I know it's early....hope these northern teams "show up" through the rest of the season. I think it is a little...
