For starters they could have gone to more teams, particularly 2 Jr Gold B teams. They would have saved about 10 players.

He already lives in Edina. Played Edina Youth hockey before he went to BSM.

I believe it is all decided and he is returning to Edina. He was working out with the EHS football offense as QB today. Speed skating was part of the original equation with more flexibility from STA than from Edina Bantams. The educational opportunity was part of it also. But things change over time...
