Re: hockey scout?

A team of that talent can really use a bustin winger such a Welsh to get the puck to your line mates. You can also utilize a player such as Welch on a third or 4th line as a forechecker. This kid of player is what you need with a talented scoring team as the 17's. The Milo kids line mates this weeke...

Re: 17s roster

Snyergy, I can agree with you on Finlay, however Sauer is a little slow and has trouble handling the puck. I saw him last year and he has improved but the biggest factor Phillippi brings to the table is he make his partners better and thats what you need at this level. Michael Sauer is coming along ...

Re: Gophers

I don't agree with Jon Ammerman looking good as a gopher. I have watched Jon this past fall as well as this winter and Jon is a bit over rated at this time. He had a horrible weekend at the select 17 festival. It appeared as if he was a step off all weekend. He also struggled last fall in the HS Eli...

Re: Select Updates/Scores

Section 3AA and 2A upsets 5AA/5A 7-3. The section 3AA/2A just plain out worked 5AA/5A. Poor goal tending by 5AA/5A in first half and a coulple of nice goals by defenseman Michael Phillippi and a beautiful goal scored by David Grun.

6AA/6A beats 2AA/2A 4-2

Re: 16

The player in question is Jay Barribal from Holy Angels. This is a great kid have had the opportunity to work with this boy when he was younger. Great heart, very good skills, and good hockey sense. He will be a good college player one day. Has been over looked because of his size. I would have Barr...

Re: Most Underrated Player

Just heard today that Michael Phillippi from Hill-Murray was not selected to the All Conference team in the Classic Suburban League. I think that is a shame. From what I have been told and watched this past season he was Hill-Murrays' go to guy on defense. If it's true he did not make All- Conferenc...

Re: How common is this type of recruiting?

This is interesting. If the boy is still a Jr. in High School, He can receive letters and such explaining potential opportunities available to that student. If Coach Eaves has call this boy directly as a Jr. Coach Eaves is in violation of NCAA recruiting rules. The colleges can not contact a Jr age ...

Re: not good

Any tryout process While not perfect was conducted for this past years Elite league at New Hope. I was there to watch and I think your mistaken. Name the underclassmen that were over looked in the tryout. Mr. Russo has developed a good league and some mistakes might be made, but remember they want t...
