I guess it doesn't really matter Kevin has no intention of coaching in this program again anyway. Its too bad, they'll be losing a good level 4 coach. I guess they have more than enough good coaches down there anyway.

whockeyguy, You ask what has this guy done in the past? He was on the board for 2 years and sat on the fundraising committee and did a darn good job of it as well, findind over 10,000.00 of uncollected funds and was able to contact all past due families and got most of it collected. He truly wanted ...

I was told he had insured these kids through AAU and they were insured at any rink so that reasoning is bull. There were 3 kids from a USA sanctioned team that played on this team they went to a Wisconsin Tournament, Wisconsin Association was notified that this would be a team that was not USA sanct...

Frozen Water I didn't take it personal, your entitled to your opinion and I as well. I don't know what my son or sons in my case have to do with any of this. All I said was that they have some good kids in sophomores and juniors who saw some playing time this year and will have some experience come ...

Look for Owatonna to by tough next year they return all defensemen and a solid under class of juniors and sophmores who went to state 2 years in a row as Bantams. They expect nothing less than a top 2 finish. Big defense and a coach who promotes the physical part of the game. MO LEGS MO GAME.

I agree USA Hockey needs to mandate to the local level as to what they can and can't do. At least have a reason for getting rid of a coach. If a coach is more qualified thats one thing but the more I see of the way local associations handle coaches the less I like of it. I was displaced by a level 2...

Albert Lea Hockey Association Bans Coach For Life!!!

I was looking on the Albert lea Hockey Associations web site under board minutes and see they banned a level 4 coach for life. This new hockey board never seems to amaze me with their idiotic good old boy thinking. Apparently said coach wanted to start a 10 and under girls program this past year. He...

My guess is the people on the Board are too scared to stand up to the few who run the program, Housely or his backers. The board members more than likely knew this was wrong but were afraid of the implications it may have on thier children at the High school level down the road. What a sad situation...

This kind of thing goes on every year in local associations. It is a shame when a person gives their love of the game back to the youth only to have it destroyed by clicky parents and politics. I say find another association to coach and show them what they are missing. Listen to Pearl Jam (Given to...

Casanova did his job, he kept the puck out of the net, made some great saves in the first period.

Section 1, they hold tryouts with numbers. They do a pretty good job finding the players who can play. The good players stick out its pretty obvious who they are. Are there sections holding tryouts with names on the Jersey?

The coaches want the best players to represent their team period. I don't believe there is any favoritism going on. If there are 2 players of equal talent he is going to take the player who he coaches all year, thats a no-brainer. I believe Paul to be a honest and fair coach he will pick who he feel...

Ice Rental Rates?

I was wondering what rinks are charging for ice time Spring through Fall.
I have quotes from 115.00 to 135.00 per hour (south metro). Anyone hear of prices under 115.00?

Last time these two teams met it was a very close game. If Owatonna can keep Wiesner from scoring and don't score on themselves they will win. It will be interesting to see what changes the coaches make if any from a week ago.

I can't confirm or denounce. He is quite the intellect no doubt about it. A great guy as well, I have never heard him talk ill of a person ever. He will do anything for a friend.

jacue I find it interseting on your 2nd post you come into the forum and attack a coaches credibility. You no doubt have a bone to pick with Will. First off let me tell you he has a vast knowledge of the game. Second he does more for his program than 95% of the coaches in the state. His life is hock...

Wahlin and Strand have both verbally committed to the Gophers. 2017 looks to be another great recruiting class for the gophers.

Owatonna lost to J.M. 4 to 3. A very close game with Owatonna out playing and out shooting J.M.. Not too many penalties, J.M. had only 1 to Owatonna's 5. The refs just gave the Rochester boys a talking to when they should of been sent to the box. Owatonna will look forward to another game with J.M. ...

Owatonna 6 Lakville 2

Owatonna took it to Lakeville South (city slickers) tonight. 6-2 after the second. Classy coaches from Owatonna didn't want to run the score up too much; They played fourth line seniors every other shift in the third period as it was senior night. I wouldn't put my chips on this Lakeville team, hope...

Century-Lakeville

With section seedings coming up why would Lakeville start a freshmen goalie and play there 4th line? Your post will have no merit on section seedings..
